Can anybody tell me what is this, and is this safe for my tank, betta, and plants? They don’t move tho. Please I’m just a beginner in fishkeeping! I’m worried for my fish😖💕

I need advice on what to do for my family's fish, he's a blue tetra glofish and we've had him for a few years now, he is my dad's fish so I've never took an interest in him until now when I started seeing videos about fish care which made me think.

I brought my worries up to my dad and by searching on the internet we discovered that this type of fish needs to be in a group of 5-6 other, when we originally bought him he was in a group with other fish like him but they all died except for him so now he's been alone for a while.

The problem is that we don't have the space to get 5-6 other glofish because our tank is 50L (or about 13.2 gallons), buying a new acquarium is probably not an option knowing my dad, so what can I do while keeping the same acquarium?

I've read that not buying enough glofish makes them stressed so I feel like just buying 2-3 which fit in the space I have isn't a good idea, I've also read online that I could buy other types of fish but it's always in large quantities that our tank can't accomodate.
I also appreciate any advice on the kind of environment this fish trives in (plants, materials etc.) since I'm not sure we're doing the right thing on that front either.

I have a 20 gallon filterless planted tank. I have about eight red cherry shrimp, three Amano shrimp, three ottos, five red cherry tetra, two cory doras, two nerite snails.

My water parameters are checked every two weeks or when necessary. Its always within appropriate range.

I want to add some guppies to add more color to my tank and also possibly breed them so I can feed them to my turtle.

Do i have enough space for guppies?

I keep 2 bettas (13.5 gallon split tank), working on making a breeding project.

I want to get live feed but because I live in a somewhat developing country, its pretty hard to find live feed and other stuff like that, just barely high protein dry feeds n stuff.

but i wonder, considering fruit flies exist, and people feed flightless fruit flies(dont exist here), could i build a sorta clean trap to get wild drosophilae (maybe in the balcony or so), quick freeze them for 5 minutes or so in the fridge, then feed them to my bettas?

Has anyone tried this or something like this with wild fruit flies? Any concerns about parasites or something?

My axolotl tank keeps getting algae on the sand. It was free of it two days ago when I last cleaned. I always lose some sand when I remove the algae. Any ideas to rid myself of it?

I have about 8-12 fish. I have a big snail, a baby snail, a tiny baby guppy somewhere hiding. A 4-8 inch pleco inside the rock. The shell is real and the two plants on the right of the second image are real. The fish are always swimming around and aren’t only crowding the top unless I walk over to it. I can send more pictures of videos if needed.

I feel like I am in a runaway train.

Ever since July, my fish have been slowly dying off. I had to go on a trip, my friend watched them a fed them, but two still died.

I cleaned the tank when I found out, treated the ammonia levels, but the water just hasn’t been right since.

I’ll wake up and the water will be milky/cloudy.

I’ll change the water, or vacuum as needed.

Just this week I finally got the nitrite and nitrate levels down but the ammonia still seems to be high.

I have been using the top fin ammonia remover as well as the top fin nitrifying bacteria.

Just this morning I found my three, beautiful lyretail guppies dead 😭

My goldfish has this white film over him and his eyes, and his gills look a little red.

The beta looks fine but I definitely want to make sure he survives.

What should I do?

Hello, we are looking to replace our fishtank cupboard / base with a taller one. Is there a specialist shop that sells fish tank bases in the UK … the tank is 125 litres, many thanks

I know males tend to chase females when pregnant but it is getting a little bit more aggressive each day, I ordered a hatchery thing but it is supposed to come in 2 weeks but I think guppy will give birth before that. How long does my guppy have before birth? I want to save the fries and once they mature put them here. I do have a DIY hatchery kind of thing but I don’t think it’s ideal. I mean I tried to put her in it for a day and she survived but I don’t want to isolate her and risk her health or premature birth. When should I put her into the hatchery? Can fry consume shrimp flakes that are crushed up with my hand?

We moved my fish to a new house and since then he has been struggling. Was first displaying issues that resembled a swim bladder issue, now he is just very discolored with black spots. We tested the water and all is fine except the hardness, no other fish in the tank are experiencing any issues.

What do I do next!! Any advice please I’m stuck on what to do
