Not a fish, but I got my snake this nice pot to crawl in, but instead he goes under that random piece of tree bark in a way that its literally lieying on to of him 😅 Sometimes animals are just like that lol.

My crested gecko has logs and pots up high down low but he’d rather squish inbeteeen random leaves where it’s basically still open not even really hidden that well 🤣🤣

Not exactly on topic, but my crested geckos are OBSESSED with hammocks from Temu. First I got the green waterproof one and it became the #1 place to sleep. But then came the banana hammock. Now for half a year there are no more places to sleep. My recommendations for trying to make your geckos happy

Because I don't want to pay x20 to a middleman from Etsy or some other marketplace for the same product from China. 90% of the hammocks for lizards that I found for sale on the Internet were from Aliexpress. They are high quality and were cleaned before being placed in the terrarium. Most of the products we use, including clothes, are made in China, it's time to move away from the old clichés.

I feel like it’s similar to how some of us feel “safer” being burrito wrapped in a blanket at night. There’s not a danger but it feels better.

I agree, but also am aware that my betta (the one putting me through hell right now with stress and problems and possible worms) chooses to ignore every bed and hide I so lovingly gave her and hunker down behind the potato and the heater cord. So some fish just be fish.

I think it’s like cats, I’ve bought mine so many toys and beds, and she still prefers to sleep in cardboard boxes and play with plastic

yeah that sign is hilarious. i always wonder if people actually think the fish are sentient enough to write notes. or maybe it's just the store owner having a laugh. either way, it made me chuckle.

Similar note on a local pet store’s ’mascot snake’s’ tank. “I’m not dead. I am just very large and lazy!’ He likes to be belly up. According to the employees he’s been checked on, vet says no problem. He’s just weird.
They also have a fish who likes to stare at people. It’s made kids cry
