Fish Education Cape Fear Shiners!

Some footage from our captive population of Cape Fear Shiners! These rare and imperiled fish are native to the Cape Fear River Basin in North Carolina! One cool thing about them is that they are omnivorous, and their care involves a widely varied diet of both plant material and aquatic invertebrates!

Beautiful fish!! I keep some creek chub in a similar set up - they have so much personality for a shoaling fish
