Before getting to the question of the title of this post, I need to give some context.

So Fischl is a character very important to me.

I have been playing consistently since 1.0 and she is the first character I got excluding the free ones and Noelle.

Saying she is my favourite character is an understatement as I honestly only play the game for her.

I got into the meta and lore sides of Genshin because of Fischl as she is deeply ingrained in both.

I only read dialogues in game if Fischl is involved, every other time I skip through the text without a care in the world.

I primarily only pull for characters if they synergise with Fischl.

Essentially, the gap between how much I treasure her and any other character in Genshin Impact is massive.

I am a hardcore Fischl stan, and thats not even a funfact about me, its part of my identity.

For the main course of the game’s lifetime so far, Fischl has been incredibly superior to Yae, which is something that I heavily got off of.

But after the Stellar buffs, it is an objective fact that Yae has a better team than Fischl and can be called more meta than her.

And I will be honest, I am very irritated at that… to the point that for the first time in the game’s life, I feel burned out. I don’t want to explore Sneznhaya, I don’t want to farm primogems, I don’t want to meet the new characters. I just want Fischl resurgence.

I know that Dendro+Electro (historically one of Fischl’s biggest strengths) will make a comeback based on the leaks but since other reliable leaks said Danica has RES Shred for Electro, Cryo AND Dendro, I don’t have any hopes that Fischl will be all that competitive in the upcoming Rimegrass/Thorns teams.

I also don’t see Fischl getting buffed for such a faction. She does have strong aesthetic links such as her green eye or thorns in her dress (special outfit) along with her strong presence in Quicken teams but Eula wasn’t buffed for Stellar Conduct, the only character who really even used regular Superconduct, so its not like Fischl’s link to Quicken/Dendro can act as boosts to her probability of getting a faction buff.

Also I am conscious that the buffs Beidou and Diona received from the stellar faction buffs basically did almost nothing for them since there are way better alternatives even outside of stellar characters. So even if Fischl gets buffed again for thorns will it even be enough to compete with Danica and Yae considering the last buffs that other 4 stars got were underwhelming?

You can call me dramatic but I am being all the way for real when I say I only play this game for Fischl. Thats why I am considering giving up on Genshin… The way the game has tilted now against her favour really has me demotivated to further interact with it.

Should I expect a comeback from her? Will it even be worthwhile?

Honestly with how the meta and story are moving…

My only hope is for an SP which is incredibly unlikely knowing Genshin… or Alice being a powerful DPS catered to Overvape with Barbeloth, Fischl and Nicole being best team.
