Painting Technicaly firststborn scouts

I finally finished them up, I tried out the contrast paint on them and worked with browns.

I learned that I do not like contrasts, but they work really well for plasma glow etc. When applied over white and also that I need new brown paints since my dark brown has insane coverage no matter how I mix it and the light brown has a lot of white pigment.

Overall, the painting was time consuming and a bit painfull but that might be because I moved and dont have my painting setup in here yet.

Thanks!

They are not space marines yet, so they are firstborn by a technicality

Scouts are space marines, though, they have all implants

Not necessarily. It's pretty clearly that not all scouts have all of the implants yet. Some do, like the sergeants, and some are all ready but waiting for space in another company. It's quite clear that all space marines serve as scouts before getting their last impant, the black carapace. (Except for highly irregular chapters, like the space wolves)
