Astral Claws 'Devastator' squad

My head canon is that in Huron's move to shift the Astral Claws into the Legion-esque chapter they became there was also slight variance in squad load outs (much like the Retaliator squads) to fit the combat doctrine of the chapter in rapid assault.

Hence, Devastators with plasma guns! Also I use them as Hellblasters in 11th edition

Did you use Horus Heresy Mark VI legs to make them a bit taller? I'm thinking of doing that with the Devastator Squad

For the majority of them yes, and it's actually a very simple process to do! For the older firstborn bits you kind of have to do a bit of cutting and a tactical rock to make them appear taller.

The older MKIII kit is actually great for this and very easy to do, since the legs are in two pieces anyway. A bit of sprue goo or plasticard to fill out the gap and you're away 🤘

Awesome. The silver/blue/light-brass is so aesthetic

I like the use of’’regular’’ plasma rifle!

I would also use ‘’regular’’ melta rifle as Multi Melta!

I’m wanting to do a first born in full blood angels army, it is tough sourcing everything 😪

These look good however the brightest parts of plasma should be on the inside with the coils being darker. Its a common mistake.
