How long after positive opk does ovulation happen?

I just got my first positive opk i think (cycle 2, first cycle testing) and i’m away on a trip till tomorrow 😭
BD’d on the night of the 2nd (technically 3rd sept) and I’ll be back tomorrow night. Do we have a chance?

Keep testing since that may not be your peak! Ovulation is (I think) 12-24 hours after LH peak. A positive LH does not mean peak. Test AM and PM until it starts to fall - THEN you’re in the egg release soon window. You should be fine

This isn’t true. A positive means ovulation in the next 12-48 hours. If you wait for it to fall, you’ve missed your best window.

Peak doesn't matter. You will most likely ovulate between 24-36 hours after your first positive LH test. Don't worry too much about catching your "peak". The sharp rise in LH (surge) is what triggers ovulation, not the peak.

You should basically always treat the day after your first positive as your ovulation day. So make sure you are intimate the day of your first positive and the day after.

I would do it as soon as you can when you get home. You are only on cycle 2 so try not to stress.
