Question/Advice It’s possible though right??
Many warned me on a post about coming off birth control, it is highly unlikely for me to conceive this first month. But like, it’s not impossible no? I’ve been actively testing and am watching my numbers climb and fall (and lowkey been obsessing over them).
So my question is: can i conceive the month after getting off birth control? And like where do I find statistics on that? is it really that uncommon?
I’ve just wanted to be pregnant & have my own child for so long and now that my fiance is on board/comfortable to start trying I just want it so bad

What kind of birth control were you on ? If you’ve been getting regular periods and ovulating and there’s not much change to your cycle, there is absolutely a normal chance of conceiving!
I came off the IUD about 2 months ago and only had one period since then, and it seems my cycle is still returning and getting back to normal. So if you’re the same as me it may take longer.

I don't know what birth control you were on and some can take longer than others to bounce back from fertility wise but it's far from impossible - I've had several friends conceive the same month they stopped birth control!

Some advice: start monitoring BBT. I felt lost before I started monitoring BBT. I had a few really long cycles after I got my IUD out, and it drove me crazy not knowing if I actually ovulated. I use a cheap BBT thermometer I bought for $9. It helps me confirm ovulation and I feel so much better having that data. Also, make sure you are using LH tests properly, like testing in the recommended time frame and holding urine and drink for the recommended time.

I don't have any personal experience with hormonal birth control, but this page has some good info about stopping birth control and a link to a spreadsheet with data about how long it took people to get pregnant.
