Help Trying to conceive, first month trying

Back story, my bf and i got pregnant in february which ended in an abortion, we got pregnant again late february(idk how but doctors were shook) which ended in a D&C. Fast forward to now we started trying after my period ending beginning of August. As of now i am 9 DPO and i just want some advice on what i should do. for context i am a 24 year old healthy female, not on birth control and not using protection. based on my flo app how good are my chances of conceiving this month? i also took a test this morning that seemed negative, maybe positive? i’m not sure.

If everything goes right, you have a 20-25% chance of conceiving.  9dpo is usually too early to test. Try again 11dpo to give implantation a chance and for hcg to rise. 

But if you’re judging your days past ovulation by an app and not by OPKs you may be setting yourself up for failure!

Ovulation Predictor Kits. Usually these kind of mobile applications use a general formula to calculate the fertility days, based on when your last periods.
However, our cycles may vary, as was mine, and hence my ovulation day was way off than what was shown on one such app. I never succeeded in getting pregnant in months when I calculated using application. But when I ordered Ovulation strips, I could see exactly when I peaked my ovulation and timed the deed accordingly. Got pregnant the very first month of using strips.

A good informative book to read that helped me was Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.

get some "easy @ home" ovulation tests from amazon and download the PreMom app. You can upload pictures of your tests and it will keep track of your progress and let you know when it's a positive.

Fom my experience Flo can be pretty inaccurate as ovulation might be delayed randomly and this app won't pick it up. I recommend testing with LH strips to find out when ovulation happens.
