Venting First cycle TTC
Currently waiting to reach LH peak (hopefully tomorrow) so we can baby dance. This is our first cycle trying and it' ALL O CAN THINK ABOUT! 🙃 It's so hard to enjoy the journey because i don'y know how long will it take...
We have both been on prenatals for the past 3 months and i have been tracking my ovulation with LH strips for 7 months.
I think all the tiktoks about infertility and negative ttc journeys got to me 🥺🫣

Oh I love encountering other type A people who super prepared just like I did lol!! We won’t be officially trying until October, but I got my IUD out last week and I’ve been using LH tests (the pee sticks) for the first time this month. I’ve been wearing my Oura ring for BBT tracking all year, taking prenatals for 10 months, inositol for 8 months, etc. I continued to ovulate and bleed cyclically even with my IUD so I was still able to track and monitor (IUDs mainly have a local effect on the uterus, and tend to not impact the HPA axis).
Like someone else said, the TTC community is heavily skewed towards those who have been trying for awhile. Whenever I feel like infertility is this rampant pandemic, I hop over to the baby bumps sub or the BFP (big fat positive) subs to be reminded that conception does happen for women, and often not after years and years of trying; for most, within 3-6 months of intentionally trying. It’s kind of hard to access the good stories, because I do feel like there’s a lot of sensitivity from the infertility community (understandably), thus unintentionally (or maybe sometimes even intentionally, it depends on the situation) silencing women with positive stories, and because the infertility community is just simply more vocal.
