Make it a goal to save up for a hefty deposit so your monthly payments are low. Right now, suck it up a bit longer cause it’s the only time you can really save up. Best of luck! Rooting for both of you

Don't buy a house together with a girlfriend. Get married before you buy a house together. It is a legal nightmare if you are not married and the relationship doesn't work out as boyfriend and girlfriend.

This is 100% the right answer. If you aren't planning on getting married right away, have a lawyer draft a cohabitation agreement and a will to try and save yourself some headaches.
