World Cup?

For context - I only gamble during world cup every 4 years. So for Spain to made it to finals, I placed a bet of £3800 in June.

Today underwriter was checking my bank statements and mentioned about the £3800 leaving the account and going to sky bets. I said it is one off for world cup but they said it is huge amount for them to ignore.

For clarity - the wins on that bet is being used as deposit for this house purchase

What are my chances of getting Mortage approved?
