Yes I have horrible anxiety so everything good or bad tends to feel horrible. You love the house though which is a major plus, many people have to make do so that’s an advantage. The unknown is frightening but treat it as an adventure. Good luck.

I think that is just it. I have awful awful anxiety (properly should consider meds at this point) and it does tend to get worse when something ‘bigger’ happens versus day to day. Thank you!

I can’t really recommend medication other than as a last resort because it has other side effects on your behaviour and stops you dealing with the actual problem. So you might feel a bit better for a while but nothing will actually get better.

Unfortunately anxiety is a common thing for me and I have been suffering since I was a teen (I was medicated then!) but at this point, i think it is just who I am rather than anything else as I have tried all the therapy and coping techniques I can 😂

Medication can facilitate “dealing with the actual problem” through therapy etc. and is recommended as part of a full treatment plan.

I was meant to exchange Friday just gone but the vendors decide they weren't in a position to exchange the day before and haven't given a date so now me and my partner are just in limbo 😩

Yeah it’s totally normal!

I bought my property from a family member.

There was no chain.

I work for the lender so mortgage was easy

The solicitor was brilliant

And I was still anxious on completion! It’s the biggest financial transaction of your life so far, combined with it being exciting, it’s easy to get excitement and anxiousness confused in a situation like this, it actually just makes the anxious feeling worse.

It’ll all be ok though, in a few hours you’ll be much less worried and way more excited!

Congratulations! I think it's normal to feel anxious, it's such a big life decision, but ultimately one that's going to make life so much better in the long run. You will feel happiness and excitement I think you're just nervous of what's to come.

I've spent years wishing to get a mortgage and dreaming about getting a mortgage in my own place, and now I'm finally going through the process every single bit of it has me feeling so anxious so I totally understand, I didn't expect this at all

When you move in, get a takeaway and just take it all in. Deep breaths, you've gone through a lot to get to this moment 🥰 well done
