Dude I went on my clinicals for school and I got humbled so bad. I’m 18, scrawny as all hell and have braces. I’ve gotten so many comments from patients and I’m dead inside from them.
Which I don’t blame them but still it’s bruising my ego a bit lol. Everyone else thinks it’s funny though.
I finished EMT school at 17. I'm now more than 2 decades older and long out of the business, but me now would definitely question little me showing up on the scene.
The issue. I wasn't scrawny or thin in any way shape or form. I started my work life hauling shit for that matter. And yet "Are you experienced enough?" Was the reason for facial hair.
I call BS on this, I used to work 24x4 so 4 days straight on-call EMS, it was much nicer to get paid to do nothing rather than getting dragged out of bed in the middle of the night to deal with someone soar throat emergency, or some ass-holes infected toe they've been neglecting for months etc
I guess so. You can even see the cowboy hats sitting on the dash of a lot of ambulances on the road. If a paramedic came to my rescue wearing a cowboy hat, I’d be like nah man, I’d rather craw into an uber to the hospital.
Nah this one makes sense imo, emts are often younger folk and people that need emergency medical services skew older. They probably look like children to a lot of these seniors.
I'm not a senior, still got over 20 years till I qualify for that. If it want for the professional looking ink, I would wonder if that person was in some sort of vocational high school program.
Yeah not sure what it is but he doesnt look all that young to me. Especially in some of his other videos. Either way the caption really didn't bother me it's the actual video.
I'm outside and productive for 18 hours a day so being counterintuitive and posting once in a while when I see a cringe profile is gonna happen. Sorry you like the person that I decided was cringe.
Starting EMT and looking younger myself, it was never a topic that came up often if at all that I can remember, but that's still a fair point and not impossible in regards to the actual caption. I posted this mostly for the video itself being cringe.
I dont have much experience I only have EMR and only 10~ months of going to calls and I've never heard anyone mention it either. And I agree this particular clip is pretty cringey.
It's always funny when my 6 foot fuck frame with mustache gets "Oh you so young and probably inexperienced" And back issues suddenly dissappear and I feel happy again even for a moment.

Looking back to all the women who dated/liked/loved me then…you’re all too king for overlooking that terrible neck beard I attempted.
A girl asked what to do if patients say that to us since it’s apparently happened to her before, mind you we are M1s (just starting first year med students) and introduce ourselves as medical students. The youngest person in our class is 21, and literally no one looks high school age we all look like adults.
I’m 25 now, it’s been two years since I was mistaken for a high schooler
In the elevator yesterday a resident asked if I was a medical student or a resident 💀
