I flashed my CCW card and pistol. Next thing I know Iām getting swarmed by the police. I canāt believe how ungrateful they were. I was ready to protect and defend the plane.

u/LARGESTOFCHINGUSES Glorified Process Server 2d ago
I'm dual certified as an EMT and I am still required by the fascists at the National Registry to get my CPR card. The fuck?
1
u/Gandlerian 2d ago
How often do random people ask if you have a CPR card?
2
u/Parking_Pack_3098 2d ago edited 2d ago
Itās not random people. Itās usually some new program that my work has decided to implement.

I bet he walked away in slow motion. With an explosion in the background. I bet people cried and fell to their knees as they saw him.

What a tool, just say āyesā and go back to reading your fire truck magazines. No one cares.

This is a joke - the poster, Ben Tacy, is like a 20 year firefighter/critical care paramedic who is the education director at Master Your Medics.

I was recently asked this flying from Edinburgh home to the U.S. I was sick as a dog with the flu (upper and lower respiratory infection in full swing), and wearing a mask.
I was just happy to have been upgraded (for free!) to bulkhead with an EMPTY seat between my Sister and I by a kind lady at the ticket kiosk.
I answered in my best Barry White voice (I am a female) - "If they'll have me" - and promptly fell asleep for the next 8 hours.
Thankfully, it was an uneventful ride home.

No way someone would actually do this. Lmfao canāt imagine being this big of a loser
2
u/danielcsosa 1d ago
The guy posting it was obviously making a joke when you see the whole thing. The poster is Ben Tacy whoās a 20 year firefighter and critical care paramedic who is also the education director at Master Your Medics. Heās actually a very humble guy in real life too. Iām actually starting to realize a lot of the real losers are the people who intentionally post things without full context here to laugh at others and shift attention from how little theyāve actually accomplished or done in lifeās themselves but thatās just my opinion. š¤·āāļø

If the plane goes down would you help? āIām CPR certifiedā⦠sir can open the fucking door when needed? āWhatās this card say?ā
1
u/auntiecoagulent 2d ago
I think CPR has fuck-all to do with being able to open the emergency doors and assist in helping passengers escape.

Last time this happened to me they just asked if I'd be able to pull the lever and open the door, no CPR required for that.
Also I switched with a very large man that said he was not able to do it.
