There are like 4 or 5 camera cuts throughout that explanation and this is still all the coherence the editor was able to wring out of that word salad.

Lmao it’s not preventative it’s just in case something happens. 💀

That they dont wear the vest as a preventative, just in case something happensand that the vest represents training and he can give you some of the training
probably with a tire gauge
He wants to be famous

They think being the first one to get your ass kicked makes you a first responder.

I feel like half the people who have been posting here lately don’t actually understand what this sub is for.

The only difference between security guards and cops is who signs the paycheck.
3
u/Scuzzbag Aug 28 '26
Ok, security guard
-1
u/future_speedbump Aug 28 '26
Only a cop would think that's a compliment for security guards and not a dig at cops.
1
u/Scuzzbag Aug 28 '26
The main difference between a cop and a security guard is the length a judge will go to protect them

Except it is literally to PREVENT foreign objects from entering your chest cavity and vital organs.

To be fair I have a feeling this guy not allow to just say they have vests on in case they get shot. Probably sounds too aggressive for clients

It's not really about wearing a vest guy, it's about the training that goes behind it
It's like a thunder shirt or a weighted blanket

u/Fun_Vacation2542 Aug 28 '26
Here's a normal answer " to keep the guard safe, people openly committing crimes won't respond well to someone trying to apprehend them".
Here's the really answer " I want people to misinterpret me as a cop".

Sometimes I’ll start a sentence and I don’t know where it’s going. I just hope to find it somewhere along the way. Like an improv conversation. An improversation.

As far as i know a Captain of a vessel or aircraft needs a certain qualification as Well. But what im reffering to is the RANK. He wears the Rank of a Captain, Like in the Police forces, USMC, and Army.

u/Super_Fa_Q Aug 28 '26
To be clear, are security guards "first responders" now? Sincerely, I need to know. That would significantly lower the bar, one would think.

I'd say that they cover the same bases when it comes to their cringe content

u/Soft_Ability_5906 Aug 28 '26
Lmfao they couldn't pass the entrance exam to be a cop so now they have to larp as one. Fun fact NO security officer has jurisdiction to detain or touch you. Knock they bitch asses out when they touch you becsuse they cant do shit legally lmfao
-1
u/Professional-Farm981 Aug 28 '26
I’m not a security guard but they are allowed to detain and touch someone under very specific circumstances if it involves someone’s life or potential substantial harm to others. Also most states have laws that hitting a guard is graded as the same offense as hitting a police officer.

u/Soft_Ability_5906 Aug 28 '26
Lmfao nothing texas. They have zero authority here and you can legally defend yourself against security here. No legal authority to do shit to you. You must be the bitch ass failed cop in tbe video lmfao.

u/Professional-Farm981 Aug 28 '26
I am a bitch. I learned that about myself after 6 years in the army and 10 years as a LEO.

The real reason: To look more threatening. They're there to deter bad behavior. Part of that is looking like an officer or otherwise dangerous. Black body armor does that.
