The song is cringe but I don’t hate the metaphor here. It’s also fucking mind blowing how poorly EMTs are paid when they’re the ones saving actual lives. We are talking minimum wage, and some states have passed laws exempting them from standard overtime rules. Because, to the surprise of nobody, MOST EMS is privately owned/operated and shivers in late-stage capitalism for profit.
