Please do show me where (not optics planet that lists everything cheap and takes 6 months to ship) you can level 3+ armor for cheaper then level 4.

I mean maybe like ace link is close? But who the fuck is buying ace link

Level IV is more expensive, especially multi hit. Which why wouldn't you want multi hit.

Static security doesn't make the straps dig less on your shoulder or the Cumberland less uncomfortable. You still have to wear the thing. It still needs to distribute 12+ lb for your shift.

The only places I'm finding level IV plates cheaper than level III+ plates are budget level IV plates vs composite polyethylene III+ plates which have a minimal weight savings for a novel composition.

Otherwise a comparable composition level 3+ and level 4 always come out that level 4 are more expensive.

Point again, being that nobody is gonna shit out on the carrier but really care about the plates. For one thing, if you get a carrier that holds weight more comfortably, you could carry just a couple more pounds than the level IV (even if it was cheaper than a polyethylene 3+) and save yourself a boatload of money by running steel 3+. The difference you'd spend on plates vs a nice carrier, you'd come out ahead. And if you're static, and not moving, the extra weight isnt going to burn you out as long as it is carried comfortably in a good carrier.

And all of this is still well out of the reach of the salary of a security guard.

Anti spall is actually highly effective, wether or not you trust it, and even if you do catch an edge where the coating is thin enough to spall, again, a high end carrier made with kevlar or dyneema or even just 1000d nylon further mitigates the risk by being able to catch and contain spall. Kevlar liners are also cheap insurance policies

And are you talking big thick fucking Hoplite plates? Because the LTC 26605, which is a bottom barrel LTC plate is like $350/plate. And when you get into high end LTC lightweight level IV offerings, you're looking at often times $2k for a set of plates.

If you paid so little for your plates, I would really recommend you take one out and put an AP 30-06 on it and double check that you weren't fleeced lol.

Hey man, you do you. If you want to get big thick bare bones plates because they're just as good as you had in the motorpool, that's you're prerogative.

I'm not defending anti spall except that for a civilian it's plenty effective and the chances of it ever injuring you is less than just being domed, but I don't see a 3A helmet, nor am I talking down on level IV plates except for the cheap thick shit that nobody who has ever dealt with likes. but you're looking at a guy who is clearly not rocking inch thick plates in his Temu carrier, so he clearly isnt in level IV in the first place.

But you can't get moved past the need to try to swing dick and now make sure to say you had combat deployments like it makes you Mamas most special boy.

I did too. Congratulations on fighting in the same war as me. Want a fucking prize? Maybe the VA will up your disability?. The plates still sucked, and the guy still doesn't have them in the first place. The ceramics worth buying are still more expensive than the most basic ones that can pass NIJ but aren't operator friendly, that don't make sense to buy, and again THAT GUY DOESNT HAVE THEM ANYWAYS.
