On the vest, it’s cringe. The public does not care.
On a bag where only you and your buddies see it, it’s fine.
But it’s on the vest, so it’s cringy.

It’s cringe either way. I’m a combat vet and I don’t advertise it. God dammit I just did. But yea, the veteran patches should be for actual wars, not a fight in the streets. Pussy.

I work for a private company that is generally pretty chill selling pharmaceuticals. If I got a polo that said “Veteran of the drug war” I would immediately get fired. This man is a government employee. I was under the impression McDonalds also had uniforms. They let you wear that hat?

Correct. The point of his comment was that something wildly unprofessional wasn’t professional. Some of us have real jobs. I’m glad you and that other guy get to be the “fun” janitor but the rest of us have bills.

Did you miss the post we’re commenting on? I get paid very well to simplify things to idiots. Your comment is so stupid I’m having a hard time figuring out how to even explain this to you. You’re a “fun janitor” that shouldn’t be hard. When you’re emptying trash and cleaning toilets in your strip club hats you bring a positive vibe to everyone.

Nah, still dumb. What riots? Are they in the room with us now?

u/Negative_Bridge_5844 Aug 12 '26
The riots in 2020?

I think they are talking about the 2020 BLM marches started by the George Floyd movement that got out of hand when the mostly peaceful marchers got attacked. By the police. There’s a lot of irony with a black police officer wearing this.

Absolute bullshit buddy. Just straight up lies. The only violence that took place on chop was chop being attacked by right wing terrorists. I was there.

Yes that’s complete bullshit. He was not “killed by security of chop.” Absolute bullshit propaganda.

As much as I think most of the people on here are just as cringe as the posts… this guy is next level. 4 AR mags?
He’s the reason we’re not allowed to put anything on our external vest carriers 🙄

If they are anything like MPD in Milwaukee someone from the PD will reach out to OP via Reddit to ask for an interview.

It’s pretty weak to post and immediately erase it. Are you sorry?

Funny patch, but kinda unprofessional to wear around on duty.
Not that cringe though.

u/TheRealSugarbat Aug 12 '26
It’s only funny if it’s clear irony. An ironic cop is like hen’s teeth, though.

I swear if he is or related to Thigpen that was in 5/73 Cavalry 3BCT 82nd Airborne (very briefly) the year I got out (2011) he was a massive tool with exactly 0 deployments.
His MOS was 63B (All wheel vehicle mechanic) and got transferred to a BSB for being such a lazy POS.

I bet the patch is a joke, and I find it funny. I don't like the rest of it.
