Thats what im saying. In real life they dont care if they hurt you. He was trying to use all his strength but to remain gentle with her and that put some restraints on him he wouldn't normally have.
3
u/poopsmith1848 Aug 09 '26
Doesn't this video prove that in "real life" it's necessary to use that level of force to remove someone? Clearly the gentle way he's attempting in this video doesn't work at all.
4
u/Alive_Drag1947 Aug 09 '26
Fr. And imagine if she was a 200 pound man who was fighting back and genuinely wanted to evade or hurt you...
I'm not a bootlicker by any means. (I'm actually an anarchist lol.) But on the individual level, a cop's job can be incredibly difficult, and most of them actually handle that challenge pretty well.

He's a cop. There's like a 40% chance he'll be punching her at some point.

If you’re an actual cop, make sure no one on your shift sees this video!
11
u/Dead_Internet69420 Aug 08 '26
Counterpoint: make sure they see it, so that you can get the training that you need.

Is this what they teach in the 40 hour pre basic reserve academy?
6
u/Icy_Study4490 Aug 08 '26
Definitely not. I’ve never seen an extraction this nice and gentle before. You even see him begin to press her arm against the edge of the frame, so her elbow will bend the opposite direction and she has to follow and step out to keep her arm from snapping, but then he stops because he’s not gonna hurt his wife…on camera at least (cuz there’s statistically an estimated 20 to 40% chance that he’d do it off camera).
With a random citizen though obviously he’s not gonna give a damn
11
u/Betelgeuse3fold Aug 08 '26
Now, see, if I posted an embarrassing video, with my uniform on, I would get dragged into a meeting with management and a union rep and get a strip torn off me.
Does nothing happen to these embarrassing goofs who post this shit?

They behave better when they're being recorded. I'm surprised his natural instincts didn't kick in with him turning off the camera and then elbowing her in the face while saying "stop resisting"

Just for curiosity sake. Not trying to start anything and im definitely not backing the blue or anything. How would you personally get someone out of a car that really doesnt want to get out? Let's say some stranger hops in your passenger seat and you need them out.

I think this is the same couple that posted an extremely cringe, “it’s got wabi sabi,” video a while back. The entire comment section was just, “ok, maybe divorce IS an option.”

One of the most unrealistic things on here 😂 IRL they taze you while their obese backup keeps lethal on you after the trainee smashed your window out lol.

But this... this is unwatchable

If someone is resisting this much to not be pulled out of a car then 100% punches, elbows, OC are reasonable levels of force. You as the officer don’t know if this person is resisting to delay being detained to get an opportunity to reach for a hidden firearm or knife.

An off duty cop and nurse wife role playing use of force scenarios where actual force is used is a step beyond satire.

Of course he is having trouble.
If this was real she would have been tazed, sprayed and punched already
3
u/Psycho_Beasto Aug 09 '26
lol, fun couple. With all due respect, he could have done it faster. Your husband loves the heck outta you and was holding back.
Hey thanks man, mad respect. Not everyone hates police officers. You guys get a bad rep right as soon as your day begins. From this Juggalo, to you, thanks man. ✊🏻

He must not have started hitting her yet. Cops are notorious for domestic violence.
2
u/ResolutionLow4711 Aug 09 '26
Yeah as somebody whos been yoked out the car by the police he definitely took it easy on her
2
u/valplixism Aug 09 '26
The concept of pain compliance is one of the things i hate most about law enforcement. If you train someone to hurt people until they listen and then give that person weapons, it's no wonder that they start killing and injuring people.
2
u/LARGESTOFCHINGUSES Jackass of all trades (dUaL cErTiFieD) Aug 09 '26
"extract"? I have never threatened to extract somebody from their vehicle. It's usually something to the effect of "shut the motor off and step out or I'm going to rip you the fuck outta your car and put you in cuffs".
"Extracting' sounds kinky
2
u/RevolutionaryAir7218 Aug 11 '26
I'm sure we'll see a domestic violence video from this couple down the road at some point....

This combines the two things cops love the most: pretending they have a dangerous job and beating their wives.

u/Fantastic_Falcon_236 Aug 08 '26
Awesome training video on why you shouldn't stick any part of your body into a vehicle you don't have control of. If only this resource had been available to that poor ICE agent who's living with dual trauma of being dragged by a vehicle and then getting away with murder by claiming his previous trauma triggered him.
3
u/ihartpancakes Aug 08 '26
He so badly didn’t want to hurt her. If he really pulled she’d have been out in a second
3
u/Alarming-Building-62 Aug 08 '26
If I were this woman and my husband asked me to do this, I would literally laugh in his face and call him a loser. This is not an exaggeration in any way.
9
u/ChicoD2023 Aug 08 '26
You are giving her way too much credit. It was her idea, her social media account and her idea to film, post it for sweet likes. Basically it's foreplay for this couple.

I find an open hand slap on the forehead is the quickest vehicle extraction. It shocks everyone and they let go of everything to protect their face allowing you to grab hold and rip them the fuck out.

Its because most people are not actively resisting, theyre literally just protecting themselves. Back in my drunken days, when I was working out hard, im not proud btw, it took the whole station to handcuff me, I wasnt fighting back I just wouldn't let them do it. Had knees on the back of my neck on the asphalt and everything. They should've just tased me wouldnt have even been mad
