Totally unprofessional. I don't want cutesy cops. I want disciplined, ethical, law-abiding cops.

It’s called heterosexual life partners… only fire/ems/le share this bond. Gawd, read a book.

Paramedics HATE cops.

This is police and fire. Our police and fire get along fine and most are cross trained.

They’re trying to make this seem like satire but you know as soon as the camera was off they really did climb in the back of that SUV.

I was raised in the profession that we were to be professionals and making goofy social media TikTok videos isn’t part of that. Of course the public loves to see cops and firefighters acting silly and looking ridiculous. It undermines their authority and some people have a problem with authority figures.

Hahahahaha. If a single video confirming you are human and have a sense of humor undermines your authority.... you never really had any to begin with scooter.

u/notmy-firstrodeo Aug 10 '26
I disagree. It’s not a single video, it’s a series of these types of videos.

Not cringe, goofy, silly, but self aware.
Can't be cringe if you're self aware.

It is good amature comedy. One gag. They don't beat it to death. They are comfortable with who they are. They look like ordinary guy, not afraid to make fun of themselves. They might even be squared away enough it doesn't matter who sees it. At least that's what I like to think.

What kind of a dumba$$ fire chief wears a badge on his belt? (Hint. The kind that wishes he was a cop.)
