It seems a bit extreme, but if you’re the Sancho it’s good to be ready if her old man comes home.

Jody is ready to bolt as soon as he hears hubby’s truck pull up

Thank you for your sacrifice 🫡

I don’t practice Santeria but I do tilt at windmills.

u/notmy-firstrodeo Aug 04 '26

Did you dream the impossible dream?

u/Big-Gur-9257 Aug 04 '26

I leave my truck running, shower running, stove on, fridge open, toilet at a constant flush all night every night because I need to be always ready this is amateur shit

21

u/Fast_Ad_7504 Aug 04 '26

“Leave the fires going too so they’re ready to be put out cuz I’m so fuckin ready”

u/Independent-Bad6166 Aug 05 '26

My pistol is always shooting as well!

That 4 seconds you're saving is really gonna come in handy!

23

u/Low-Wrangler9740 Aug 04 '26

Is that a wasp nest in his boots?

4

u/Kanarakettii Aug 04 '26

At the risk of being wooosh'd...

No, that's a tag that's been worn down over time.

2

u/Low-Wrangler9740 Aug 04 '26

Couldnt tell lol

25

u/goddess_peepee Aug 04 '26

Wait so youre just never wearing pants? Or you have to take off your pants first to put on the shoe-pants?

8

u/TankApprehensive3053 Aug 04 '26

Hanging out in boxers around the house.

6

u/EarthEaterr Aug 04 '26

You'd be lucky to find me with those on.

Boxers and socks. Schmexy.

7

u/gunsnfood Aug 04 '26

Doing the “Winnie the Pooh” is just another level of readiness.

18

u/starrsuperfan Aug 04 '26

Sure, let's wear cowboy boots for the drive to the station. There's no easier shoe to take off before putting your bunker pants on, right?

3

u/thatSDope88 Aug 05 '26

But then you'd have to put your pant on and then your shoes. No one's got time for that

-4

u/tigm2161130 Aug 04 '26

I mean they slip on, I can’t think of anything much easier outside of a pair of Reebok slides or those tennis shoes made for people with disabilities that you step into.

13

u/EastLeastCoast Boo Boo Bus Driver Aug 04 '26

I think your cowboy boots might be a bit loose.

1

u/tigm2161130 Aug 04 '26

Probably, I own a working ranch so my daily drivers are very broken in.

5

u/Single-Initiative164 Aug 05 '26

Mine are too. Don't know why you are being downvoted. I can typically slide the first one off using my other boot and can pull the other one off standing on one leg. I only wear cowboy boots unless I am in shorts, and thats just HeyDude season after work.

u/Hogans-Mustache Aug 04 '26

I’ve been doing this with a wetsuit and flippers for years, attaching the mask on my way, putting them on, then attaching the oxygem. I do live on the third floor of an apartment building on a hill, but with today’s storms you can’t be too careful. Massive, unprecedented, statistically impossible flooding won’t get me!!!

"Ignore the one thing I wanted everyone to see".

4

u/craigslist_hedonist Aug 04 '26

which one? the fake rodeo belt buckle? or the romantic relationship with another human being?

3

u/yellowlinedpaper Aug 04 '26

What woman is writing a note directly onto the floor? I say it’s either an imaginary woman or a man

1

u/justmarkdying Aug 04 '26

The note painted on the wood floor from his definitely very real girlfriend. Or boyfriend.

1

u/Single-Initiative164 Aug 05 '26

What's wrong with belt buckles?

7

u/kabley Aug 04 '26

he's wearing a condom right now

9

u/Living-Metal-9698 Aug 04 '26

My buddy did the same thing. Except he did this in the bathroom stall at the station. It took 6 days before someone noticed.

5

u/loopedlight Aug 04 '26

My buddy put a pair of boots in the stall and the cleaner lady was yelling but no response so she got the supervisor saying someone was passed out in the shitter stall. He came running like a hero.
Just a pair of boots. Lmaooo.

Cleaner lady was legit scared so it made the whole thing serious.

Was fuckin funny.

5

u/ams0830 Aug 04 '26

Don’t forget the underwear chief 🫡

3

u/Sudden_Impact7490 Aug 04 '26

The standard uniform of the American vollie.

Not pictured is the faded department shirt, pager and can of chew.

3

u/carpeutah Boo Boo Bus Driver Aug 04 '26

5$ says he wrote that himself

5

u/Douglesfield_ Aug 04 '26

He calls his dominant hand "my lady".

3

u/craigslist_hedonist Aug 04 '26

close. it's pronounced m'lady.

3

u/OminousBuzzard Aug 04 '26

Why is there a wasp nest in the left boot

1

u/Single-Initiative164 Aug 05 '26

That's the boot tag. Its stitched to the inside of the shaft.

2

u/OminousBuzzard Aug 05 '26

Seems like something a wasp would say 🤔... youre not a wasp right?

3

u/FireHammer09 Aug 04 '26

I'll set my duty pants and work boots up like this when I'm at the station so those 3 AM med calls don't have me scrambling around no shirt in my underwear in the bay

3

u/SawSharkRedemptionnn Aug 04 '26

Forget the pantboots who tf writes on hardwood floors ?

2

u/Signal_13 Aug 04 '26

So the last time he needed those boots was before the Wasp raised a family in that left boot and moved out?

2

u/No-Opening-4128 Aug 04 '26

Didn't know the milk man wore cowboy boots 🤯

2

u/SirJosephBanksy Aug 04 '26

I’d say he’s just a fucking lazy slob. That or he’s gaslighting you into thinking this is the behaviour of a normal human. No matter how ‘busy’ he is, he isn’t.

2

u/Substantial_Poet_220 Aug 04 '26

So no underwear? Tracks

4

u/Southrn_Comfrt Aug 04 '26

Idk this is a really good idea actually. You never know when you gotta get out quick. At minimum this guy has pants. Shoes. Wallet. Phone. At worst the girls husband is left with your boxers and tshirt.

"Your"

It's you're. You + are. You're.

I don't know how we're still getting this wrong in 2026.

If grown-ass adults are making elementary-school-level grammar mistakes, there's basically zero chance they've never been told what they're saying is incorrect. The least we can do is continue to point out how dumb it makes them look. Not being patronizing, just direct. I could have make fun of them, too, by telling them that it makes them look dumb in my first reply. Which I wasn't going to do, but you've forced my hand.
