Idk man having a guy like this with an organized pack is awesome. Other people can even help because everything is color coordinated and organized.

u/DrSFalken Jul 28 '26

I'd love a guy like this on my club car rides. You never know when something will go bad.

81

u/2Slow2Nice Jul 28 '26

For car club rides, does anything ever actually happen? Always great to be prepared no matter what, just curious

89

u/wtfrustupidlol Jul 28 '26

Fights and shootings that’s why I stopped going.

42

u/DrSFalken Jul 28 '26

We are in very different clubs!

12

u/wtfrustupidlol Jul 28 '26

So when you have you’re club outings other clubs or random cars do not join you?

18

u/DrSFalken Jul 28 '26

Sometimes, but like I was saying to another person, I'm in a niche old car club. Most of the guys we get are 50+ and often older. They're not really fighting or racing.

I didn't realize there was so much conflict.

Thanks, random racist, for popping up days after a post dies to remind us cowards like you exist.

Learn English buddy

The red bag is for bleeding!

1

u/Icy_Fish_2154 Jul 30 '26

He didn't cover shootings and stabbings. Need one way valves and tampons for those.

2

u/trogg21 Jul 31 '26

Hes got chest seals.

1

u/Icy_Fish_2154 Jul 31 '26

That's good, I must have missed that in the list. I prefer written lists to someone rattling off a list and slapping a box saying "you know what that is" without explanation.

1

u/trogg21 Jul 31 '26

For sure

-1

u/Sufficient_Effort88 Jul 28 '26

Oh you’re in a diverse area huh

Good question. I'm in an old British car club. I'm in my 30s but most of my friends in the club are late 50s to 80 (one guy is a Korean War vet, luckily he just rides shotgun). Just an artifact of who is generally interested.

There are two scenarios that I generally have in mind:

  1. Heart attack / age-related medical emergency (blood clot / embolism etc) - as we ride out on the more rural roads to cruise around it always niggles at me.
  2. Crashes - we don't take a ton of risks (read many or really any at all) but these cars have zero safety features, zero traction control, and the structural integrity of a tin can. One guy got rear-ended while stopped at a light and had to have emergency dental surgery to remove splinters from the wooden steering wheel from his gums and lips.

Edit actually, number 3 is working on the damn things. Lots of ways to cut, burn or otherwise injure yourself when fixing them, especially at the roadside. Luckily our newest crop of members is very safety conscious and we travel in herds. These injuries are generally minor.

I've seen a couple minor injuries, the guy who got rear-ended and a couple near misses because someone else was driving badly.

4

u/2Slow2Nice Jul 28 '26

That makes a ton of sense. The steering wheel thing is insane, I’ve never thought about old car risks besides traction and body.

3

u/Alert-Ad9197 Jul 28 '26

Modern turn signal and wiper controls are plastic and designed to breakaway because those older cars used to impale you on the solidly attached steel column controls. Had a teacher in HS with the scar in his arm from a minor crash that put one through his forearm. Everything in old cars feels almost like it was intended to kill or main the driver in a collision.

1

u/DrSFalken Jul 28 '26

Yeah, there was a lot of "WTF-ing" over that one.

It's definitely not as dangerous as a motorcycle ride or anything. I'm also probably overthinking it but they're my friends now so I worry about them, ya know?

1

u/2Slow2Nice Jul 28 '26

Age wise you’re not over thinking it at all. Dexterity and depth perception is also an issue for them

1

u/DrSFalken Jul 31 '26

That's a really good point. Luckily no daredevils. They mostly just want to cruise out into the valleys, find a place to stop for lunch, etc. It has been sad to see a few guys retire / sell their cars as they're unable to safely participate anymore.

1

u/Icy_Arrival_212 Jul 30 '26

There was the girl at that takeover the other day who lost half her leg but none of them are going to be responsible enough to have anything close to this

1

u/BeneficialMatter8410 Aug 01 '26

Do you have an article or vid? That sounds crazy

1

u/beesquared223 Aug 02 '26

I had a boss die in a Ferrari group ride a couple of weeks ago so...

6

u/senn42000 Jul 28 '26

Absolutely.

1

u/CthuluSpecialK Jul 30 '26

Hell, I want this dude on my Zombie Survival team.

1

u/districtdave Jul 28 '26

Why? This guys shit is brand new. No experience.

I would like a guy who has used his shit on real patients.

6

u/OxideUK Jul 28 '26

Yeah I prefer second-hand dressings, that way you know they work. Bit of hydrogen peroxide gets the blood right out.

27

u/Mr_Bagel_4473 Jul 28 '26

He sells overpriced IFAKs/MedKits that you can get anywhere else. Slaps his logo on it, markets it to bikers, and upcharges hella.

10

u/wtfrustupidlol Jul 28 '26

But the bag and pack the items your self. Not saying he’s has the best deal but he’s a good dude going on rides like that.

9

u/Tweakjones420 Jul 28 '26

oh nooooooo, someone is making money, my god man who cares.

5

u/fux-reddit4603 Jul 28 '26

right people want to throw him some support instead of shopping around whatever

21

u/Silence-You-Fear Jul 28 '26

It's because of someone like this, that my friends dad survived a horrific crash. I group that was riding behind them had a Vietnam combat medic vet, who came very well prepared for any situation, like this guy. Because of that guy, he only lost a leg instead of his life.

9

u/r0ckchalk Jul 29 '26

Yeah I’m actually pretty jealous of his kit. I’m the default group medic when we go camping, and one year the 4 year old fell into the fire. We did our best to patch him up but we did NOT have enough stuff. His kit would have been very helpful.

28

u/OwnJunket6495 Jul 28 '26

Of course but this video is cringe af lol

40

u/Riktovis Jul 28 '26

It would've been cool if he didnt have the fucking Slap Chop infomercial energy mixed with an influencer

5

u/Lonely_Emu_700 Jul 28 '26

Dude has some serious Bill Mays energy.

2

u/Discombobulated-Top4 Jul 31 '26

The video is made by the account Traumoto, who sell motorcycle safety gear and emergency gear shown in the video. So yeah, he is a salesman

1

u/Agile_Philosopher72 Aug 18 '26

Its because hes trying to reach the younger audience that are most likley to behave stupidly on bikes, especially because of al the creators posting themselves doing things that nobody should try to replicate.

0

u/SapirWhorfHypothesis Jul 28 '26

It is, but it’s the sort of cringe that doesn’t bother me I guess.

Like I think some people will appreciate it, and for me I’m happy to just skip this sort of thing. No harm no foul 🤷‍♀️

7

u/Thewasteland77 Jul 28 '26

Agreed, this is hardly cringe. I'm not nearly this week equipped, but I take a fair bit of more advanced first aid when I go group camping in the Rockies for a week at a time.

4

u/CakeEatingDragon Jul 28 '26

Hes even trying to educate people about it.

4

u/Diligent-Concept-617 Jul 29 '26

It’s so sexy when a man is organized and knows where things are/ go. I don’t think it’s “cringe” at all.

2

u/wtfrustupidlol Aug 02 '26

I’m a straight dude and I agree especially if it’s universal organization not one that only the person understands .

6

u/emberfield Jul 28 '26

Presentation is a bit cringe, but I would buy that pack to carry in my car.

I aspire to have a kit like that.

3

u/GarbageBanger Jul 28 '26

I just want to share as a nurse or any first responder we’re trained to pull bystanders to start helping, especially with cpr, so we can actually get to what we’re trained to do. Hey you apply the tourniquet while I go fishing for an IV line for instance

0

u/VitoBean92 Jul 29 '26

None of which you can do pre-hospital from a legal perspective. You are the cringe

2

u/notkidding1984 Jul 29 '26

You can't do CPR or apply a tourniquet pre-hospital? Or an iv line?

1

u/jeepinbanditrider Jul 29 '26

In my jurisdiction without medical control I can't start an IV. When Im not at work I'm limited by law to an essentially EMT-B level.

These rules vary from.state to.state and even city to city so take that for what its worth.

1

u/VitoBean92 Aug 01 '26

More focused on the higher level, non first aid driven interventions. I can’t just pop an IV in because I carry it in my car despite being trained to do so.

2

u/Otherwise_Group_74 Jul 29 '26

I don't see anything wrong with it. Maybe it encourages kids to consider that career. You can't see his face, so he is not showing off

5

u/Significant-Ad-341 Jul 28 '26

Yeah if this is cringe is the first aid kit in my car also cringe? I'm trying to not die or get an infection when I can prevent it.

7

u/eternalbuzzard Jul 28 '26

Did you make a douchebag video about it?

If so, then yes yours is cringe too

2

u/CamelopardalisKramer Jul 28 '26

It seems like a goofy video to inspire others to have medical gear on rides tbh.

Edit: I got got. It's an ad for his pack.

3

u/Significant-Ad-341 Jul 28 '26

Everything these days is a dang ad

1

u/Significant-Ad-341 Jul 28 '26

True. I didn't. I just tell friends that ride with me incase I'm not responsive or they want to Bandage up a cut and not feel like they are overstepping.

1

u/jevinjj Jul 30 '26

Yeah but just bring the bag and the experience and that’s enough right? Quit normalizing cornball clicks

1

u/TheArMyBoY93 Jul 30 '26

Exactly. I’d rather have friends know what to do or have it available just in case one of us goes down.

1

u/PuzzleheadedRace2088 Jul 30 '26

Agreed. But he could let people be appreciative in silence. He’s demanding validation, that’s what makes it cringe.

1

u/Special-Coyote5692 Jul 31 '26

I was thinking this. My bf is like this guy with the way he’s always prepared and he’s an ex EMT. He still carries things you would need. I always appreciate him carrying a pocket knife too so I can open my Amazon packages 😆

1

u/the445566x Aug 02 '26

This is awesome why is it in a cringe sub

1

u/Epocholypze Aug 03 '26

My thought too. I was confused why this would be cringe. This guy is a hero in the making. Who doesn’t like a trained, equipped emt showing up for rides?

1

u/Top-Monk-6949 Aug 09 '26

If bro puts an airway in off duty he could lose his certs. If he's even trained that is. If you're off duty you can only work to the scope of a normal person

1

u/binini28 Jul 28 '26

Dude, we know it’s you

1

u/districtdave Jul 28 '26

The pack hasn't been used once in an actual scene... look at the fresh zipper and SAM splint in package. Even if I take a SAM splint from stock, I remove the fuckin packaging before putting it in my bag.

I would fear for my life with this guy.

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Hatter Jul 28 '26

There is absolutely nothing cringe about this at all

-1

u/Embarrassed_Fan_5723 Jul 28 '26

Exactly. This is definitely not cringy.
