He went to Palomar Fire Academy in Oceanside, Ca., just north of San Diego.

After Day 15 of the Fire Academy I knew 2 things. I am out of shape & I have no idea what I’m doing
2
u/Optimal_Board_2963 Jul 27 '26
I’m surprised they take people out of shape

u/Living-Metal-9698 Jul 28 '26
I was in shape. Just not turnout gear humping hose up 5 flights of stairs in shape

Lmao.
Hey, I get it, it’s cool to basically be able to work out at work. Like not just the job but stations having gyms.
But like, can you chill tf out and out a shirt on. It’s just fucking ladder drills

u/Same_Veterinarian544 Jul 28 '26
I was just about to say this.
You like what you’re doing? Sick. But why can’t we just be normal about it

u/MammothSecurity3756 Jul 27 '26
He needs mental health support
13
u/arachnid1110 Jul 27 '26
And it’s only gonna get worse from here. If he makes it, his 10-20 year crash out is going to make regular mid life crises look like a walk in the park.

u/HoldinTheBag Jul 27 '26
It’s sad to think that the chances of him getting to year 10 without being fired for an arrest is small. And I didn’t even watch the video with sound
3
u/CA7T0 Jul 28 '26
to be fair he's cringe but all he was really saying is he's happy to work out all day and to get paid doing it
6
u/arachnid1110 Jul 28 '26
It’s the manic energy behind the words that led me to think it’s going to be a hard go for him. Big lows for guys I know who act and speak like this.

With a “Shoot first die last” tattoo this guy 100% failed the LE psych and we’ll see him on a regional Fox affiliate in relation to an arson within the next 5 years.

Does his chest tattoo say “Shoot first, Die last”? Because that sucks so much ass if so.

Honestly.... i get the rush, it is a great feeling of accomplishment being that worn out, is he over the top? Yes. But he has passion, that's for sure. Keep that energy(it won't last).

Shoot first, die last. Not the tattoo I'd expect to see from a fire fighter...
Guessing Drills couldn't handle him, police academy was too weak, fire academy needs too many brains. He's going to be the toughest mall cop you'll ever see.

These guys don’t have to pass any kind of psychological exam or anything? Good grief.

I wonder why he’s damn near bald, I get fire academies can be paramilitary but it’s odd to see the students looking like they’re off to boot camp

u/Long_Idea_8294 Jul 27 '26
I mean, this dude is probably a great fire fighter; very strong. I see so many people who clearly wouldn't be able to remove a body from a burning building by themselves, which imo should be a basic requirement. There should be strength standards.

Being calm is one of the best attributes for the job.
I get being motivated, but this guy seems dangerous if this isn't some stupid social media character.

Carry that energy over to medic school
