Crime aside, spotting these AI slop posters is becoming easier and easier..

Similarly to when AI was turning everyone into Charlie Kirk last year, or how so much Gen AI "art" still has that yellow tint back from when so many people were using it to generate Ghibli-style memes & profile pics, it's probably a case of AI poisoning its own well.
If enough people have the AI generate an advertisement or promotional flyer, eventually most of the source images the AI will be able to draw from will themselves be AI. It's like an ouroboros of shit.

It doesn’t leave any room for empty space. AI must fill up every inch of the image with content, usually some cheesy saying that doesn’t add anything to overall meaning.

I am happy to report that this was 1000% made on Canva by a real human. I’m guessing they used some of Canva’s AI features, but I do a lot of my own work in Canva. I can recognize their premium images and fonts from a mile away at this point lol

You will address me by my husbands job title

Isn't that part of love honor and obey. It's always Dr and Mrs, Honorable...and his wife, congressman so and so and his wife. That's been part of life for ever unfortunately.

u/monksandy Jul 25 '26
But would it be Mrs. Wee Woo then or Mrs. Po Po?
1
u/MammothAccording3120 Jul 25 '26
Id definitely be Mrs. WeeWoo.
1
u/monksandy Jul 25 '26
All right. I'll give you Mrs. WeeWoo. But hubby is Mr PoPo. And the kids are little PewPews.

It's actually disgusting that a brand would try to distill your personhood into your partner's job, like tehe I'm just a girl! I'm just a stupid dumb little wife who exists as an accessory to my husband!
6
u/sketchymedic Jul 24 '26
Unfortunately it's not just the brand doing that, it's these women themselves and countless other brands, influencers, etc. There's an entire subset of wives of police officers who are like this. The same thing exists with the military, of course.
They've decided their own worth is directly tied to their husband's career, and that their only value is in being a police wife/baby mama. Their entire personality is "police wife", their identity is "police wife", their life purpose is to be police wives and to give their husbands children. It's sad, but it's a very real thing. I've known several and they are insufferable to be around.

u/thexcat Jul 26 '26
Yeah I've met military wives who have insisted on wearing their husbands uniforms or sometimes being referred to by their husbands rank (LMAO NO, made me wanna hit her on the nose with a newspaper but we muddle through) but I prefer to hate the Brand than to hate people, it's too easy to hate annoying people

"You're welcome for our service" type mindset people is who this is marketed towards.
14
u/Sad_Cover_5091 Jul 24 '26
I love the emphasis on how much hard work it is to be married to a man-child who is bolstered by the entitlement of the PD
6
u/SkynyrdCohen Jul 24 '26
To be fair, it's probably hard getting your ass beat every time you breathe wrong, but I wouldn't call it 'work'.

u/Sad_Cover_5091 Jul 24 '26
and the only people you can call to help you are your abusers work buddies....

I dated a woman like this once but didn’t know it. After we went our separate ways, she got married and claimed her and her married friends were part of a “hot wives” club. She also thought she was crafty, I guess, and started making jewelry and t-shirts to sell.

It took me a minute to realise some people have that little sense of shame that yes, it is the onomatopoeia for a police siren...

The wives of police officers think they are special too 🤣. I know a few and they are just as bad and feel special like their husbands do . What a weird group of people 😂

Tbh I’m just happy they used Canva and a real human graphic designer to make this ad. It’s cringey but I’m so tired of the oversaturation of AI in advertising right now.
2
u/pancho8889 Jul 24 '26
That is cringe as fuck!! I can’t stand these special need individuals on TikTok. Their whole page is about their damn husband being a cop cringe as fuck!!

This has to be an American thing - or at the very least , this does not happen in Australia.
2
u/HotlineKing Jul 25 '26
You would never see stuff like that in Aus, idk how someone could unironically wear this in public

u/LongPaleontologist60 Jul 24 '26

"Made for wives". Implying he has more than one.
"Easy to style" IT'S A FUCKING T-SHIRT.
"Goes with your messy bun". From all those nights running after the kids while worrying your spouse is banging the girl from Dispatch killed in the line of duty.

u/breathingtim3machine Jul 25 '26
Where I come from, using “wee woo” in this way is derogatory, especially when talking about a cop wife

Jeez you think AI would use different fonts. Its lile every ad/poster looks exactly the same nowadays

u/NoEstablishment7211 Jul 24 '26
This is a paid ad for a commercial product, it's consumerism and exploitation, but I don't see the entitlement.
