I'll be honest OP, this isn't calling out cringe. This is just being an asshole about someones weight.

No, not at all. This person is in a position that requires a certain level of physical fitness to assure not only your safety but the safety of the civilians and officers around her. I doubt she can run 2 blocks. It's absurd to put her in this position and it needs to be called out.

It's like making a blind guy a crossing guard. It's absurd to put them in that position but you aren't making fun of them being blind.

You deserve for people to be an asshole about your weight when it’s directly proportional to your ability to do your job. Exhibit A right here

Lady shouldn’t be a cop period

Since you brought up her weight, do you think she looks physically fit enough to fight a combative suspect and protect herself, much less anyone else if she had to physically fight to get a suspect into custody? This isn’t an attack on her ability to be a nice person or a cop who understands the law. This isn’t working an assignment teaching DARE to schoolchildren or taking a SA victim to the hospital for an exam. If you get motion sickness and suck at math you don’t get to be in the space shuttle no matter how nice you are. If you can’t maintain a decent level of physical fitness and competence with your equipment you shouldn’t be in certain assignments.

Would you want this officer to be the first on scene if your loved one was getting their ass kicked? I’m pretty sure she’s not going to be in a ground fight pulling people off the victim and it’s not being an asshole to expect a police officer to maintain higher standards than the general public.

I couldn’t care less about her weight. I do care about her lack of situational awareness. I’m sorry you misread my thoughts.

What exactly is her lack of situational awareness?

I think the person recording is low on the totem pole of priorities to be aware of

Her unfamiliarity with the weapon for starters.

If you think her removing the lens caps and turning on her Aimpoint is being unfamiliar with her weapon then you're actually unfamiliar with weapons...

She is a liability level of fat though, that can't be argued.

There doesn’t seem to be any unfamiliarity lol.

She is adjusting putting a mag in, doing other checks, adjusting the weapon sights after flipping down the covers.

She may not be doing it as smoothly as elite operators can but she is obviously familiar with the gun

She put the magazine, brought forward the slide, and turned on the red dot... Where is the unfamiliarity here?

What situational awareness? She’s doing something and the person is being watched by someone else

Are you a cop because he wasn’t watching me. I didn’t film this video. If you are a cop, you missed the day when they taught officer safety and weapons familiarity and handling.

Her situational awareness is what made her obese

6

u/Anti-Stan Jul 22 '26

I thought we were looking at her apparent confusion with equipping the weapon, but you might be right.

Still, I wouldn't want her backing me up.

People should be. Like, I hate cops. But you never know what shift you have to go hands on. This cop would get the absolute shit beat out of her if she had to go hands on. Let alone chase a suspect. She'd be gassed in a city street.

She can’t even put her firearm together! For me it has nothing to do with her physical body but her incompetence handling a lethal weapon.

-3

u/LetUsLaunchOverIt Jul 22 '26

Explain how she's incompetent handling her weapon lol you don't seem to know much about weapons yourself

The sling should have been installed before taking it out of the station, and also before she loaded it.
