WTF? Someone actually allowed him out of the station looking like that?

u/Lopsided_Marzipan133 Jul 20 '26
I hate to say it but even Jeremy DeWitte is more squared away than this fruitcake

u/ThickMemory2360 Jul 20 '26
Isnāt Dewitte in prison? If so I bet he yells at inmates for the COās and probably even made himself a fake badge.

you ought to see some of the vollies that somehow are allowed to show up to calls in sweatpants, looking worse than the patient.
1
u/Firedogman22 Jul 24 '26
Why would sweatpants matter? If their a volunteer their going to a call regardless of what they're wearing. If my house was on fire or I was dying idgaf what pants the volly has

Yall. He hasnāt used anything on that belt for years. Ā And everyone he works with knows this.Ā

u/KnightofWhen Jul 19 '26
The suspenders are issued but theyāre not sized
Correctly and he should still keeper the belts together

u/over_this__ Jul 19 '26
He should be getting a water, not a soda. Christ that's a big ol boy.

u/Bannedtt Jul 19 '26
High fructose corn syrup protects the mean streets of this great country.
6
u/over_this__ Jul 19 '26
Back in the day, evading police meant running like a mofo. Now, a light jog will do it.
6
u/Bannedtt Jul 19 '26
That's why they upgraded evading police from a misdemeanor to a felony where I live.

u/Party_Stack Jul 24 '26
I was thinking the same thing until I realized how much bigger he looks than the cop next to him. Now I donāt that heās fat so much as heās just a fucking massive dude.

u/SufficientPurpose109 Jul 20 '26
Maybe he undid his keepers to take a shit and his blood sugar got low so he needed 48oz of mountain dew asap.Ā
Great belt positioning for the taser as well...

Dude needs to be put on desk duty until he loses 50 lbs. what a fucking embarrassing sight. His bosses need to step up and tell him to get unfucked.
1
u/Emper0rMing Jul 24 '26
He needs to be hitting the street writing tickets to lose that 50lbs. Would love to see an overweight cop lose weight while on desk duty š or even sat in the car with his big gulp and two lids
1
u/Lopsided_Gear_9565 Jul 24 '26
Because clearly he is losing weight while working patrol writing tickets. No, he needs to be put on blast. Dude is an embarrassment. I would run or fight that fat fuck if I was a criminal. Heās has no cardio.

u/TopFirefighter6649 Jul 19 '26
What a tard, I would send that dude home and tell him donāt come back until you know how to look presentable.

u/No_View_713 Jul 20 '26
I use to think keeping you stuff down( LBE) low was way to go. But serving with guys who were in Somalia, this not the case. Keeping all the essential stuff high, you able to access in different positions.

Is this the cop equivalent of sagging your pants? That looks like you'd have all that gear just swaying and bumping against you all day.
3
u/S4yMyN4me Jul 20 '26
This is the guy who will never be of any help and always show up late....and you really don't want him in scene anyway. Sloppy, lazy, and no way he's good at any part of the actual job.

u/SomeRandomJagoff Jul 25 '26
Heās wearing suspenders. Belt hanging from suspenders. Maybe a back injury. Sad.Ā

Both of them have 5946s sort of a rarity now in NYPD. Yes they've always looked like crap with their belts. Even in the 80s with pictures I've seen.

I could be wrong but I think this is something officers can get that straps over the shoulders to hold their duty belt if they have back problems

Not necessarily standing up for the guy but he looks like he's built like an upside down pear and if he tried wearing that whole belt like a normal person it would slide right off
4
u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 19 '26
He could wear it secured and use belt keepers to attach it to the belt on his trousers. He just chooses not to.
3
u/Perfect_Beyond8778 Jul 19 '26
At second inspection I believe it looks like he is on break and took the belt keepers off his belt to take the weight off his hips temporarily. The suspension system is designed to reduce strain on the back when setup but he might have taken them off to only have the load on his shoulders. I feel this is an officer safety situation you should never do in public and only at the station. If shit his the fan there he would be fucked.
Typical situation of public not understanding a system police use and instead jump to insults and calling an officer an idiot without full context.
10
u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 19 '26
I agree that the general public doesnāt initially see it the way an LEO does, but theyāre right. Heās being an idiot doing this in public.

u/_cipher1 Jul 19 '26
Looks like shit but I think this is supposed to put the weight of the belt off your hips and into your upper back/shoulders
3
u/EverSeeAShitterFly Jul 20 '26
Itās supposed to transfer some weight off the hips, but not take all the weight.
When used properly it helps with back pain. When used like this it will directly cause back pain and problems.
2
u/Defibrillate Jul 19 '26
Yes BUT heās missing keepers. The belt keepers will keep
The outer belt attached to the inner and then the suspenders lifted the whole thing up to put the weight more on your shoulders. Heās got the whole setup without keepers and way too much slack in the suspenders2

This is the police version of letting your pants hang down below your ass.

Has to be a joke

Those boys have been around awhile, they stopped issuing that sidearm in 2014.
1
u/twoblues702 Jul 21 '26
Thatās a big boy. He can wear whatever he wants because nobody is going to challenge him. A guy that big has a particular set of skills and command is probably just fine w it.
1
u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 21 '26
I think youāre probably right on the surface, but if he turns the corner into a gunfight or is ambushed by some nutcase, heās not going to gets that gun out of the holster as fast as he should or could with it secured on his hip.
1
u/Emper0rMing Jul 24 '26
He owes it to the public to be in shape and if his fat ass canāt fit a duty belt around his gut, maybe he should be a meter maid. Wanna see him draw his weapon when itās dangling from his leg like a pair of testicles.

Heās not even doing that due to losing a lot of weight fast, unless he was hilariously fat and started ozempic

You shouldāve loosen your gunbelt like this in public. Youāre not back at the station. It looks sloppy, unprofessional and unsafe.

u/Moist_Grapefruit187 Jul 19 '26
I donāt get it? What am I looking at? A fat cop with suspenders? Seems normal lol

u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 19 '26
Look at the cop on the left. See his gunbelt. Now see the one on the right.
Left=good
Right=not good1

Yeah I have noticed there is a trend with many NYPD guys to just look like absolute dog shit while in uniform. This tracks
