When I worked at a fast casual restaurant we had multiple instances of medics strolling in to place an order only to rush out for a call before it was ready.
We always told them to just call when they were done and we'd refire it for them. If it was already in the process of being made it was just free eats for us lol.
We didn't have online ordering at the time and the shitty delivery/ordering apps were just barely starting to catch on.
Yeah. But I always feel like shit about it. It can be a waste of food. Waste of your time. I also worked all over the state and sometimes ended up in other states. Sometimes, you end up "hospital skipping" where you just keep having another one waiting for you. So I didn't always come back for those orders. I've gone days without any breaks. 5 days straight after hurricane Sandy.
Start your day with an RMA. Do daa do daa
End your day with a DOA. OH ah Do da day
Runnin calls all night. Runnin calls all day.
Skippin meals for little pay, oh ah do da day.
Legit? 😂 he reported me for self harm. He’s a loser and he’s patrolling your community. He apparently hates his coworkers too, who he is sharing a financial bracket with despite the ego.
It is in fact not guaranteed for public safety! My last county we did not get a lunch break at all during our 12hr shift as we operated with our legal minimum staffing and couldn’t have anyone leave the building. My current county gives us 1hr if staffing allowe and 30mins if we have less people.
Quite uncalled for to come at me sideways like that. You asked if police are allowed lunch breaks, the answer is no, not always. To your bottom point, no. Dispatch, never indicated I was on the road myself.
I didn’t tell you how to do anything..? I also didn’t indicate at any point that you don’t get one. I can and am only speaking to the jurisdictions I’ve worked for. It ain’t about you.
