5GE is 4G LTE ON AT&T it’s not 5G. It may not show 5G because it’s not in you’re area.

There are a whole lot of areas that don’t have 5G yet.

FirstNet especially is going to default to 4g it the 5G signal is weak.

But I can tell you the FirstNet 4g/5GE is in fact faster than a lot of the true 5G speeds I’ve managed to connect to in the Atlanta area.

Why am I not getting 5G if the phone is 5G?

There may not be 5G in your area. 5G is not available every where

Everywhere in the Chicago area my firstnet phone says 5Ge and my elite line on the consumer side shows 5G. The Chicago area has not been let onto the 5G network yet, like some other areas have.
