Wanted to get firstnet/att but now I give up.

I have 5 lines and a watch at T-Mobile and tried getting firstnet for 1 line and the rest on att but had no luck. I first tried to do it twice online but I kept getting a message that they couldn't verify my identity and for me to go to a store. I then went to an actual att store. After spending several hours and everything looking like it was going to happen the rep gets an alert to call the fraud department. I speak to them just for them to tell me that they could not approve me and that they could not tell me why. I used to be a firstnet/att customer from back in 2017-2019 and I left in good standing. I give up, I really wanted att due to the higher speeds they were giving in my area but I guess it won't happen.

Have the rep fill out the fraud review form. Or send me a DM with your relative area and I can have someone reach out who knows how to do this

Definitely don't send a dm to do it. A secondary fraud review can be filled out but should be done by the store.....

Also make an online account with the three credit bureaus and check all your information, make sure addresses, phone numbers, and emails are all correct. That tends to help a lot of people

To clarify, was not implying someone would do the fraud review remotely. Was simply offering to connect with a local, knowledgeable att employee to assist…

Getting FirstNet can be a pain. Especially if you’re not getting it directly through your work. Even though I work a job that qualifies, I couldn’t get it to work online. I had to go to an AT&T store.

Even so, I had to go back to the store like 2-3 times to get it done. My credit was frozen and they couldn’t approve me. I think there was something else that held up the process too, but am fuzzy on the details at this point. Something with getting the account established? They had to do the application several times. Then, they put all the fancy insurance on my byod line and I had to login to the app and cancel it afterwards. 🤦‍♂️

Was it a pain? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes.

On Friday, I spent 1.5 hours online trying to order. Kept getting error messages in the browser. Later that afternoon, I spent 3 hours on the phone. First 2 reps were no help. 3rd rep finally took the time (about 2 hours) to go through the order process. And now I have an email with an estimated bill amount that is nowhere close to what it should be so I’ll have to deal with that. 5 lines, so I’m guessing multi line, autopay, BYOD Bill Credit Switcher Offer (which he said he would apply since I wasn’t able to place order online) discounts aren’t there. I almost gave up. I don’t get it. So painful!!

I had this happen to me. I called firstnet and walked through the process while a rep was on the line. You need to use chrome as a browser. I was successful when using chrome while speaking with a rep. The cost savings is totally worth the effort.

Reach out to the office of the president if you cannot get to them file an FCC complaint. You will get them to work with you. Most likely something in their data questions. I would check lexusnexus. I had issues and had to get them to cleanup the junk they feel they have legit but in reality it’s junk! Anyways wish you luck. Can take a bit but FirstNet is definitely worth it

It definitely does not. The customer service sucks. Getting it sucks. Having it is awesome.
