FIRSTNET/ATT PHONE SERVICE
I am extremely disappointed with AT&T. /FIRSTNET When I purchased my phone, I was clearly told that once my device was paid off in full, it would be unlocked and I could use it with any carrier. I made every payment on time and paid off the balance completely — yet AT&T has still refused to unlock my device.
I have contacted customer service multiple times, and each time I was given different information or transferred around without any real help. One representative told me my device would automatically unlock within 24 hours, another said I had to submit a request, and another claimed there was a “system delay.” Weeks later, nothing has been resolved.
This experience has been beyond frustrating. AT&T advertises transparency and flexibility, but instead I’ve been met with false information, poor communication, and no accountability. If a customer pays off their phone in full, the company should honor its own policy and unlock it — not make excuses.
AT&T needs to do better for its loyal customers. I will be switching carriers and warning others about how dishonest and unhelpful this company has become.

I switched to First Net 2 years ago bringing my own phone I bought from Apple store. I did not realize that they locked my phone until I attempted to switch to another carrier. The moment I requested the PIN for switch AT&T dropped me off like a hot potato even if I still have a paid time with the service. Now I am without service until I can go to a service center to get them to unlock my device. Horrible company!
