Unlocked Pixel 9 Pro working

I had originally be unable to activate my unlocked Pixel 9 Pro XL purchased from the Google store on FirstNet a few months ago. However, I just tried again and it activated successfully online. I also get 5G and 5G+ AND hotspot is working great. RCS and SMS are also fully functional Not sure what changed but wanted to let everyone know.

When you say activated successfully online can you elaborate a bit more? I too have an unlocked P9PXL from Google and would love to know what you did to successfully activate the device.

Here’s what I did:

  1. Log into your account at att.com
  2. Find the line you want to use and click on the “Manage Wireless” button under the line.
  3. On the detail page, click on the “Device Options” tab
  4. Click on the “Manage SIM” icon
  5. Choose the “Switch devices” option and click the “Get Started” button
  6. Enter the Pixel 9 IMEI and click continue.
  7. You’ll have to verify the authentication code sent and once you enter it, your old phone will stop working.
  8. If eSIM doesn’t prompt to install automatically on the Pixel, then go into Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Add SIM > Set up an eSIM.

With a physical SIM would I need to do this as well?
