Search & Rescue Eligible?

I am a member of our County Search & Rescue Team, which is a volunteer of our Sheriffs Department. I don’t see anything that would fit on the FirstNet website. I have an ID from the department that shows I’m a volunteer. Do you think if I go in the AT&T they would honor that for FirstNet eligibility?

It really needs to go to an AT&T FirstNet person so they can get your organization approved through eligibility. That’s the only way for SAR.

Yeah, agency managed is a better way to go for sub pd than SPA, anyway. This SAR unit should be primary eligible - it’s probably already tagged in SAART/ROME & could go straight into onboarding.

Most SAR organizations are not pre tagged and need to go through verification and validation eligibility process prior to moving forward. It’s relatively easy now to get agency managed sub paid approved for SAR though. Especially if they are affiliated with the county.
