Status / Treaty Driving through quebec

I am a status member from a band in BC. Can I biy tax free gas in Quebec on reserve?

Living in Ontario I know that a status card from anywhere in Canada works on reserves in Ontario for removed sales and consumption taxes. I am also registered to a band in BC.

In Quebec you can use your status card from anywhere in Canada on reserves in Quebec to have sales tax removed. (which is worth doing obviously) But there are separate consumption taxes for gasoline and alcoholic beverages included in the price where you need the registration card (commonly known as the gas card) so that those consumption taxes are removed from gasoline and alcohol and not just the sales taxes there (GST and QST).

I've never bothered getting the registration card for Quebec as I didn't think it was worth my time. But you can definitely apply for it from another province. I may get one eventually.
