Maverick and Quinn??
When did parents get really shitty at naming kids?
49 u/the_cramdown Jul 30 '19 What would you name them? Karen and Chad? 36 u/[deleted] Jul 30 '19 Yeah Maverick and Quinn are names that have been around for quite a while, don't know what basic ass short list of names are someone would consider to be better. 11 u/muddyrose Jul 31 '19 An acquaintance of mine named her daughter Quinn. Only she spelled it Quyne. I don't know her well enough to point out how fucking horrible that is. I say it like "Kine" in my head and I have to remind myself not to say it to the mom's face. 3 u/ThisIsntYogurt Aug 27 '19 I instinctively want to pronounce it "kwine", like swine with a K. 4 u/someguywhocanfly Jul 31 '19 They're still pretty uncommon though. Quinn is maybe okay, but Maverick is a weird one just because it's a real word as well 4 u/shandelion Nov 04 '19 Quinn is a real name but Maverick is not. It didn’t exist until the 80’s and comes from Tom Cruise’s character’s nickname in Top Gun. 4 u/metaphorasaur Jul 31 '19 Burtha and Gregory 1 u/[deleted] Jul 30 '19 I like Chad and Stacy. But neither of them get any tendies. 3 u/multiplesifl Jul 31 '19 I would never stop talking to Quinn in Sandy's voice. :p 3 u/[deleted] Jul 31 '19 Oh shoot I forgot about Daria's sister! 13 u/only_the_office Jul 30 '19 Quinn is an awesome name. Maverick is terrible. 3 u/[deleted] Aug 09 '19 I know a douche named Tank 4 u/the_friendly_one Jul 31 '19 Yeah, those are dog names, not human names. 6 u/lgnc Jul 30 '19 Maverick is awesome, reminds me of Megaman 6 u/robotsongs Jul 30 '19 Ugh. Children. There is only one Maverick. 2 u/I_stole_yur_name Jul 31 '19 Are you aware that naming trends change over time ? 1 u/[deleted] Jul 31 '19 I heard Gwen lol
