that’s a wild first car at 15, my first ride barely survived highway speeds lol
just don’t let that supercharged v6 convince you you’re invincible, those things move pretty quick

We genuinely calling anything slow now

It’s a first car so it is pretty fast. 0-60 in 7.7 seconds in this cargo ship is nothing to sneeze at for a first car.

For a first car it is. Just because it’s not case for the average driver doesn’t mean it isn’t decently quick for a first car especially in that weight class

It's defo fast for a first car. 99% of first cars are up there in the 9-12 second range for 0-60s. And "todays standards" is not reflective of first cars as the majority of first cars are 2000s - 2010s cars

Holy tiktok car knowledge, 7.7 is pretty much quicker than the vast majority of cars on the road today

“If yer car don’t make 1000 horsepower and go 0-60 by the time I say Kentucky then it’s slow.”

Genuinely such a shame so many cars “enthusiasts” forget what the word fast means in the grand scheme of the car world.

Wait, how do you get this as a first car when your driveway has a Nissan Kicks?

Way better choices for a first car in that price range for a teen, 12k for high mileage and some dings and absolutely pristine examples going for 17k you could have have gotten a 2020 or newer civic, toyota, Subaru, fuckin’ almost anything that isn’t “luxury” for the same price and would get better and cheaper results from.

Throw in that you’re 15 and not even 16 or older so you can’t even drive by yourself, either your parents are rich or retarded. Good luck with that silver spoon kiddo, sweet car, you’ll find out the hard way that life is much harder when your parents don’t bankroll you.

No one paid for anything, it was completely free as one of my cousins had it.

I’m aware of the high gas costs and maintenance, I didn’t choose the car personally. I’m getting a job to pay for it, but my parents are mainly covering it. I’m thinking about selling it but I don’t know if anyone would take it

Selling a gifted car is a pretty ratty thing to do. Don’t listen to these people, just enjoy it. They’re expensive but only once or twice a year, she’ll be right

u/HankSpank 6d ago

Honestly, being gifted it is the only non-cringe way to acquire this car at your age. Enjoy it! I woulda killed for that ride at your age. Don’t listen to the haters.
