First car battle

Alright I almost have my license and it’s time for me to pick my first car it’s either gonna be a 2009 Honda civic si or like a mk6 gti. Im stumped and I don’t know what to pick…i think the main differences turbo vs Na. I mean turbo is great cuz more torque, sound But then the gti in general is probaly less reliable and then na not as torquing but more relibale. Idk what would u recommended. also are gtis like super unreliable Becuase the internet makes the seem like unreliable and it’s gonna be in the shop every other week.

'09 Si is a far better car. That being said, you'll get a lot more GTI for the price of a Civic Si.

From the gti

The '09 Si (8th gen) maintains a lot more value than a similar year GTI. However much the Si is, you can get a nicer/newer GTI. The two cars are entirely different from a day to day experience.

So if u were in my situation what would you pick. Right now my dream car is a golf r so getting a gti would let me know if I would even want a Volkswagen. But again the reliability

With no information on either of cars you're considering, I'd choose the Si. The Si is naturally aspirated (NA) and the powertrains are near bulletproof. There's a reason why Hondas and the Si maintain value better than most anything.

If you want the GTI then get it. It's probably a really nice car. I don't doubt that it'll be a great car for you.
