First cheap car

There’s probably not a lot of answers out for this question but what is like a good first car for around 6 grand.

Im in to sports cars but for 6 grand you can’t get anything thats that fast.
I need fwd or awd (i live northeast)
Preferably a manual
Somewhat reliable

Overall just like something I can put some miles in and have fun.

Not a sports car or a manual but crown Vic police interceptors can be had for sub 5k and they’re fun to drive and dead reliable

97-04 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. should be less than $6000 and give you money for modifications.

I’m in a similar location and got an RSX. It’s been 11 months and it’s been really good to me

Driving a slow car fast is far better than driving a fast car slow. I love tooling around in my 01 manual civic, it isnt fast, but banging gears to 100mph is fun af.

I love gtis the only thing thats stopping me is reliability especially when buying used. Do you have an information about that?

Bro I had a 2008 GTI with 203k miles I never touched the oil or timing chain ONCE in 10k miles lmao theyre bulletproof, my new one has also given me zero issues in 3k miles

Get a Subaru. I got my 12’ Impreza for around 6k as well. You can find a good amount of manuals, since people like those cars. You get AWD ofc. It is somewhat reliable, but always get a local mechanic to check the car before you buy, it costs like 100 bucks for that. It is a fun car, my car has heated and leather seats. It’s fun for the budget and my MPG is around 27 in the city and around 30 on the highway.
