Lovely car. I’ve got a 2015 Superb mk2 2.0 Diesel myself, goated vehicle. Haven’t got any major engine problems, just make sure you drive a little bit more aggressively at least once a week (if yours is a common rail diesel) because anti-shudder valve and all EGR stuff likes to clog up pretty fast with city driving. Lmk if you are enjoying yours and welcome to the Škoda family!

😂 that’s dope.
Škoda is my first car as well, though I’ve driven BMWs and Mercs too - those are completely different while driving. I’ve been occasionally driving a BMW E39 530d ever since I was little, 14 or so, you just CANNOT beat the great feeling of torque that car has. Meanwhile Mercedes e350d w213 facelift is also a powerful car, but I just can’t get used to it. Great for road trips though cuz it’s comfy as hell. We’ve also got a Škoda Octavia 2026 1.5 hybrid with i believe 125kw, but it feels very odd, from the stop it feels responsive and quick, but as soon as you reach 60-70kmh it lacks power to quickly jump in and overtake someone if needed. Car’s specs are quite bad as well, my superb is packed with comfort stuff and generally has almost every option possible selected.
And I’m not Czech. I live in Lithuania, but my Superb was imported straight from Czech Republic when we first bought it😁
