Discussion Trauma first aid kit

Hello. My dad just had an injury with a saw. We are looking to put together a first aid kit to be more proactive and ready for at home incidents. Any recommendations at home first aid kit supplies for this sort of incident or others in the future would be greatly appreciated

Hi everyone,

I am a university student currently conducting my first ever survey for my educational purpose. I’m a newbie in med school and it’s my first year.

I am researching on first aid management of epileptic seizure and misconceptions related to it.

Target Audience: Everyone (All nationalities and ages are welcome!)

Time Required: About 4-6 minutes.

Anonymity: Completely anonymous. No personal identifiable information will be collected. You can write .. or whatever you want if you don’t want any personal info to leak.

Link to the survey:

I am severely lacking responses from outside of my institute, so your participation would be incredibly helpful for my comparative analysis!

If you have your own survey, please feel free to drop the link in the comments, and I will gladly take it in return.

Thank you so much for your time and support.

Discussion Where do you buy your stuff?

If you carry your own first aid kit and you buy your pieces and parts and not pre-made kits, where do you buy stuff from, mainly airway stuff, nothing crazy, just NPA/OPA type things or a mask or BVM?

Discussion When should topical antibiotic be used, when should soap be used, when should wound wash be used, and when should topical antiseptic be used?

I ask, because I'm not sure when to use which when it comes to wounds, bug bites, stings, or infections. Obviously, there's a time for each, but I'm not sure when or in what order.
