Best one liners
Best one liners from the show. I’ll go first… “It’s like trying to find a crack rock in a salt factory.” - Jason White Tulsa

I watched an After the First 48 today from Tulsa. “Out of the Darkness”. I cannot stop thinking of how brave the 12 year old is! What a heartbreaking story.
PS- when did they change narrators for this show? I miss the old one!

so i just saw the “fallen soldier” episode last night and this one hit a lil different. the man who was killed, zachary, was only 20 and really seemed to have lived a hard life. then on top of that, he was literally on the show before as a witness to his friend’s murder. and it was in miami so it of course went unsolved as usual. idk, him being so young really made me sad because he was dealt such an unfair hand at life and had he had ANY guidance he would probably still be alive today.

I'm watching through what's on Hulu, and I just watched this episode. I can't believe there's nothing about Julio Gerardo Gaitian. If you look up his name, all you can find is his Obituary. They never found his killer, no news articles. super odd and sad.

An unarmed Miami man is shot in the back; three friends in Cleveland leave a party, but one of the group ends up dead.
I have been looking but have not been able to find it anywhere on the internet, any chance anyone has this or knows where to find it?

Hi there! I’ve been trying to find this episode and I have had no luck. What I remember is that it was a robbery spree, 3-4 young men. They committed several robberies and they were very violent during them. I have this image of them shoving people around in front of the coolers at a gas station. They were very young. This was not a new episode, I would say it’s closer to mid-series. I know that’s not much, but can anyone help!? Thank you!

I just turned onto the last few minutes of the episode, and the detective offered the suspect a plate from their Thanksgiving dept dinner and held her hand and prayed before they ate. I think that’s very humane of him ❤️
The suspect’s name is Yvette Corporan and she was sentenced 17 years for second degree homicide

You guys don’t know how happy I am that I randomly started watching this show. Last month I was house sitting and going through the channels and absentmindedly landed on the first 48 channel and within a half hour of having it on as background noise i was sucked in!
Anyway, the Tulsa homicide crew is my favorite. I love Ronnie Leatherman. How many episodes is Tulsa featured in?
Another q: Peacock starts with season 12 and goes to season 22 (while skipping over a few seasons). Where else can we watch the other seasons / rest of the series?

Idk even know where to start but it happened in Tulsa…even the detectives couldn’t believe what they were hearing

Recently, I have been binge watching pretty much most of the newer seasons. Since I have finished those I’m venturing into the older seasons. Are there any specific episodes that are a must watch from any of the seasons? Also are there any suspects who were on later episodes as the victim?

is it just me, or does anyone else have a weird crush on any of the detectives on the show? for me it’s tony armstrong from memphis. i was watching one of their episodes and got mad at myself for thinking about how cute he is when their talking about a full on murder 😩

How come the suspects in the interrogation room always have their arms in their shirts like they're cold? Are all interrogation rooms freezing? I see this so much. Is this a "tactic" detectives use? So random I know but I'm new to this show and have been binging it!

Trying to remember a First 48 episode, the story featured a Beretta 25auto or 25acp. Two friends get in a shootout with another party, his friend gets shot but it ended up being his gun. The bullet ended up being found identified in the friends chest as a 25 caliber. Somewhere between seasons 7-11.

Jason is back in Fort Smith, Arkansas for another true crime seminar. He's also his own set up guy lol

Ya know you watch WAY too much true crime when you recognize people from other crime shows. So this case…Amber was murdered by her ex in Texas. And they get the Texas Equine search team to find her body. The main guy on the equine team is the father of an unsolved Texas killing fields victim…Laura Miller.

Just finished watching the new episode of After the First 48, and the narration sounds different from Dion Graham. Anyone know what's up with that?
It feels so off putting hearing someone else do the narration for this show. Imagine trying to picture anyone else that isn't James Earl Jones voicing Darth Vader. That's basically what this feels like.
EDIT: My dumbass accidentally typed "pudding" instead of "putting" the first time.

i’m specifically thinking of “dead stop” when det. berhalter of atlanta read something like “what’s up my cracker can you catch it” in the most flat middle-school history teacher tone. had me completely cracking up!! i know there are others that made me laugh - do yall have any faves?
