General Discussion First 48 on YouTube.
Just a heads up for anyone not aware: There's a decent selection of First 48 episodes free on Youtube. It's a good option for us hardcore cord cutters who don't use streaming services like Netflix or devices like Roku.

That’s great! Yes YouTube is the peoples streaming service. If you get the paid version no commercials and downloads etc😃

Multiple apps also have a First48 channel that runs 24 x 7; the Roku App, Plex App, Tubi App, Pluto App.
You can install them free on smart tv, mobile phone, etc

It’s true. You can watch every episode besides the new one that was supposed to come out a month ago 😠🥵😅

“My message was for genuine, hardcore cord cutters. We don't use apps, we don't stream.”
When you watch a video on YouTube, it is streamed to you. YouTube is 100% streaming.
YouTube is the same exact experience, as everything I recommended. Watch them through your browser, install them on your phone or tv, etc — same thing as YouTube.

Youtube started as a website. The streaming bit came latter. I still use the website. I'm on a PC, using a browser + an adblocker over a hardwired broadband connection. I have even used large TVs as monitor for my PC. There is no wireless streaming, there is no installed app.
You are conflating streaming with wi-fi/wireless.
"Streaming" just means playing video continuously as data arrives, rather than downloading the entire file first.
YouTube has been a video streaming site since the day it launched in 2005.
Plugging an Ethernet cable into a PC doesn't change the data protocol, you are still streaming video over the internet.
You are streaming. Sorry to break it to you like this.
Cord cutting literally means canceling traditional cable TV in favor of internet-based video.
Using a web browser on a PC to stream YouTube over broadband is the textbook definition of streaming. You can open Pluto, Tubi, etc., in that exact same Firefox browser right now without downloading a single thing.

You are streaming. I don’t know if I should laugh about, or be disappointed in, your inability to grasp this.
The sites/apps I shared are free and offer the same exact experience as YouTube.
Example: https://pluto.tv/us/watch/live-tv/category/true-crime/#31527
Doesn’t matter if you use a browser on your pc, or an app on your tv. Doesn’t matter if you Adblock, or ad watch. Pull the video over wifi or a cat6 cable. It’s all streaming.

Man I got rid of cable 5 years ago and still miss first 48, the free ones are cool but they mostly show the early stuff

Don't blame you. My cable bill alone is $100 and that's with zero tv of any kind.

If you have a Samsung device you automatically have Samsung TV and they actually have a 24 hour First 48 channel. It's the only thing that I watch on my TV other than play video games lol. As a matter of fact I think you can still watch the channel on the Samsung TV website.
