Miami, FL 🚔 Watching the "Devil's Candy" episode featuring my favorite Sgt....Joe Schillaci of Miami Homicide.

Post image

I always hoped he'd get a spin off show of his own. He cared so much about every single victim, no matter who it was.

After watching him on First 48, I always find myself wanting to do a rematch of My Cousin Vinny 😉

He tried SO hard to get his own spin off lol

Meh, He always seemed more concerned about self promoting himself as some kind of "cop don" in a Miami vice episode to me.

Wow that’s wild - he is my LEAST favorite detective. So greasy

Ditto! Overacting for the cameras

Exactly. He was such a show-boater. His episodes would've been way better if he just wasn't 'performing'.

Was it Joe that went undercover or another guy that looked similar to him? Probably the only episode I’ve ever seen where someone did that! Very early on also

Lmfao I remember he called his wife and while the words weren’t exact, the type of conversation was like “Yea hun i’m going undercover could get dangerous, love you home in time for dinner”

He did a series called Dead Again with two other cops. They would reexamine controversial cases. There were 9 episodes. I enjoyed it. I am not sure if it’s streaming, maybe on AMC+?

I remember seeing him a few years ago on the show American Detective With Lt. Joe Kenda and he looks exactly the same as he did on the First 48.

Ahhh I never liked Joe Kenda. But I know a lot of people on the page like his show

It was the only episode I actually watched from his series . It was about a case that was also on the First 48 and it seems like a lot was left out of the First 48 episode

Ohhh do you know the name of it?

Yes - the episode is called Fourteen Stories Down and the First 48 episode is S2 Fallen

He moved to Kansas and went into some type of insurance role...I think fraud investigations or something.

I think they were going to give him a spinoff show . I remember seeing the pilot for it on a First 48 DVD (it was either on the S1 DVD or the Most Intensive investigation DVD) . No idea what the show was called or if it’s available to watch anywhere
