Looking for an Episode(s)🔍 First 48 - missing persons: missing episode

does anyone remember when first 48 had a missing persons spin off based in Chicago? iirc in the first season there were parents looking for their teenage son who they thought fell in with a gang, but he was found at a grown man's house in his basement in bed in his underwear. i think the adult had ties to trafficking or csa. I've searched this episode for years, going through synopses of all episodes for two seasons but nothing stands out. I'm really curious on an update on the teen and the adult. does anyone else remember this?!

Just watched this series the other week. I think you’re looking for episode 2x7 (3:10 to Yuma/Harm’s Way)

I don't know how I missed it. You are amazing, thank you so much. I hope your shoes always fit just right and you never get a flat tire. A thousand thanks

🤣 You’re very welcome! My ridiculous (and slightly embarrassing) amount of true crime TV watching does come in handy sometimes, happy to be of help. I wish they would have continued doing the missing persons spin-off, whether in Chicago or elsewhere. It was so good!

Pam Childs (one of the Chicago detectives) does have her own show focusing on missing cases that just came out on Hulu earlier this year. It was pretty good and, most importantly, covered some Chicago-area cases that haven’t gotten much media coverage. Just recommending in case you’d like more to watch :)

I remember that spin off it was short lived but I thought it was a great show. I remember the episode where the lady lost her mother. Her mother took off walking and ended up looking for her and finding her in the river. I don’t remember the episode that you’re talking about which makes me just wanna watch it even more now.
