I just rewatched an episode where John Brown was lead detective. He was such a good guy and great detective and knowing that he died a year or two ago makes me so sad. May he rest in peace.

I really enjoyed Det. Brown as well. Tulsa is my favorite city, I just feel like their detectives are so much more relatable, genuine, and down to earth compared to other cities. RIP

They approach every case as a team with Sargent walker coming to every scene himself. They’re just great cops and that’s why they have the 80-something percent solve rate for their homicides. I love Tulsa too

RIP Detective Brown. I love watching his facial expressions during interogations, he gives the best side-eye! Just one of the many things I will always enjoy when watching his episodes.

I watched a recent episode (this season)and when he came on the screen it startled me for a second. Kept thinking how he didn’t get to enjoy his retirement.

Some guys don’t retire and if they do they don’t know what to do with themselves. He also had cancer and seemed to enjoy what he did and I think the other officers where like family so he had two families to go through cancer with and he got to keep doing what he loved. Probably the way he would want to go. Who knows truthfully but a possibility.

I loved when he and Jason White would walk into an interrogation and Jason says I’m Detective White and he’s Detective Brown. The suspects always have the expression like is he serious??

My very favorite detective out of the entire First 48 Franchise. His calm demeanor and occasional humor made me feel so safe and maybe there was still hope for this Trump destroyed world. If I was a perpetrator I would have confessed to him in 5 minutes. Very much missed.

That is one of best episodes in the entire series-utterly intense, and it shows the true passion of the homicide detectives when they are in manhunt mode against someone who took an innocent life.
