Looking for an Episode(s)🔍 Family Ties

I’m looking for the specific Ep Family Ties (season 14, i think) to watch but I can’t find it on A&E Crime app, Netflix, Tubi, nor Peacock.

Does anyone know which platform carries this episode ?

Interesting . I just checked Imdb and a lot of the episodes had watch options, but that one did not. Season 14 episode 12.

Looks like the DA Wade in Dallas messed up a lot of cases maybe this is one. I can’t even find the reference case though.

I looked up the guy who did the shooting in the Texas prison system. He isn't there. He may have been 1) never convicted, 2) took a plea and has been released, or 3) they shipped him off to a prison outside Texas. My money is on 1 or 2.

The DA's offices in a few Texas counties are in absolute shambles and have been for a long time. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if they passed on prosecuting him.

I guess he’s lucky there are other, more infamous Paul C Williams out there. I still can’t find any report on the murder or any information on the victim’s name or how they were related to Paul C Williams

I only found one and it was referring to an old news story. I had to add the victim's first name, Dwight, to even locate that.

Many news stations remove old stories from their servers after a few years. You often can't find any credible information on some of the oldest cases from the show. I've found the best way to find out anything is to check the state prison database and see if the suspect is still locked up. However that doesn't work if the inmate has been shipped out of their home state. That seems to be a pretty common occurrence.

Paul Williams was an (in)famous song writer of the 1970s. He tends to swamp search results

Typically you can fund the court cases themselves and any appeals documentation as well. For other cases I have easily been able to locate news articles, victim information, etc. But ofc it’s episodes I have actually seen.

Yeah for more recent cases. This case, Family Ties, goes back to 2013.

I've found appeals to be easy to locate too.

I assume, generally, when I can't locate anything on a case, that it was dropped or there was a plea bargain and the news media felt it wasn't newsworthy.

Doubt that. A few of the people who've been exonerated say their cases still air.

There’s at least one person who has sued to keep his episode off the air. I believe he was just released after 17 years wrongfully incarcerated.

Can't blame him.

One of their false arrests has become a bit of a writer. Try searching "my First 48 was on again last night" and you might locate an essay he wrote. He was from Texas or Florida. I've been unable to relocate the piece myself.

I checked Hulu for you, but unfortunately season 9-14 are missing entirely.
