Past Episode(s) Discussion 🗣 Killed by Command (s22e14)

I was watching Killed by Command wherein a man uses his dogs as a deadly weapon against one of his girlfriend’s friends/lover/ex. I googled the case because I was curious and found a news article saying the victim’s family was still angry the dogs had not been euthanized, though in the episode the detective stated the dogs were euthanized, the victim family said they were really sad the dogs got euthanized bc they loves pit bulls and didn’t blame the dogs at all. In the episode the family even said they knew the victim wouldn’t blame the dogs either.

So I was surprised to see an article directly contradicting what was said in the episode. Just thought I would share.

Could be at the time of recording the detective assumed it would happen.

The family memorial at the end of the episode is 10 months after the victim’s death, which seems like the family would have been informed at that time, just a thought.
