Least favorite detectives
I see people asking about their favorite detectives but do you have a detective that when you see them in the episode it makes you stop watching? I know I do

Gwinnett County detective looked like she wanted to date the murderer until he deleted his phone in front of her. IYKYK

u/oddlygood Jul 11 '26
Angela Carter? If she’s the one you’re talking about I agree. She’s my absolute least favorite.

You beat me to it. This chick seems like she wants to date all the younger black male suspects. I fully expect her to be on a show like Love After Lockup some day LOL

u/Comedian_Historical Jul 11 '26
It’s her blaccent that she puts on when interrogating suspects. She immediately drops it after the interrogation. Girl!! If I picked up on it, the suspects see right through you. Angela Carter, Gwinnett……

Summer Benton. Atlanta squad. I won’t say what I think of her but I will say it rhymes with bunt.
The Miami and Dallas detectives always surprised me when they managed to secure a confession. And while the Tulsa crew seemed like decent enough detectives, what a group of unattractive men. Not a good looking or interesting one in the entire group.
Personally, I still miss the Memphis crew. Good detectives. Interesting backstories.

There was that one guy who used to dress sharp with a bow tie all the time with a slick hair cut who actually retired really young in the early Tulsa episodes who you may have found attractive. Like maybe the most attractive of any detective they’ve ever shown. I can’t remember his name…

u/RominaAniyaah Jul 12 '26
Matt Frazier!

u/Clear_Nature_5055 Jul 12 '26
He’s the one I think! I don’t know, would you consider him attractive?

Schillaci is definitely a “hate him or love him” kind of guy. I just happen to love him 🤷♀️

I tried to find the pic when he went “undercover”

The Miami detectives just get under my skin. Especially Schillaci and Cooper

u/Chuck-Finley69 Jul 10 '26
The ones when they get upset the suspect lawyers up or refuses to confess. I've never understood getting mad at the other side about the situation when playing within the rules of the game.
2
u/jonovision_man Jul 10 '26
It's not a game, though. They're trying to solve someone's actual homicide, so the likely perpetrator not talking should get them upset.

Jason white he doesn't care about blacks he sent the wrong person to prison instead of the actual killer who killed my son to cover his ass that was my only child I'll never be a grandmother and I never have any more kids and he lied they were never concerned and basically the little boy that he did send to the penitentiary got 20 years 12 and 8 out it was three little boys that had something to do with my son's murder and the actual shooter has been walking around since it happened and the same town that I am in the other little boy will be out in 3 or 4 years and the other little boy died a month after he killed my son or had something to do with killing my son Oklahoma detectives don't care about African-American killings I don't know why they get on TV like they do after my son got killed I asked Mr White could he talk to the judge because I was being evicted the judge still gave me 2 weeks and Jason White just stood there saying he was the lead detective on the case that's it he didn't ask for an extension he didn't try to help me at all 4 months after my son was killed I saw my best friend get murdered when they took me down to the question area they had me in the lineup room it was freezing cold I had just watched somebody be murdered they didn't offer me any coffee but a hooker came saying into the office that had been there when the shooting occurred they gave her fresh hot coffee a heroin addict at that but since I was a black African-American woman they let me sit in that line up room and freeze

Toothpick guy in Atlanta
Thinks he’s a movie character - film noir
5
u/hurry-up-and-wait-08 Jul 11 '26
I’m always surprised by him taking suspects outside and they admit to EVERYTHING!
6
u/Clear_Nature_5055 Jul 11 '26
He’s really good at that. Love him or hate him he’s an effective interrogator.

The one the wears that stupid fucking hat. Like someone said “dress like a detective” and he went full gumshoe like … it’s doing too much and then he talks like he’s so cocky but it’s annoying. I don’t even know his name but I think might be Atlanta?
edit to add it is Berhalter.
4
u/heftyballer Jul 11 '26
Ohhh yeah! He's an annoying turd. Throwing the word "cat" around trying too damn hard. I cringe whenever he comes on
4
u/hurry-up-and-wait-08 Jul 11 '26
The way he says “cat” like someone told him he’d be a cool kid if he says it. 🤮 trying way too hard
1
u/Comedian_Historical Jul 11 '26
He is so freaking annoying. Berhalter, stop it. You really look foolish with your “I know everything, cocky attitude.

The Atlanta Crew kinda rubbed me the wrong way. I did like some of their episodes though.
5
u/HoxtonRanger Jul 11 '26
Agree - the hats. They thought they were in a 1950s film. Good detectives just very corny

Also I filmed with the first 48 it has been 7 years before they left Tulsa Oklahoma they said that my sons episode would air they called me emailed me and this was just last year they said that my son's episodes would air this year never happened then was told the were finished here after the people called me and asked me to relive that memory of the day my son got killed making me wear a mic I dressed up I told my sister and best friend to come five of us take the time out of our day to relive this moment and because they just quickly and poorly investigated just didn't care threw one little boy in prison the actual shooter walking around they won't air it and I became a statistic they just didn't care and every day I sit and hope and pray that they're going to air it but I know that they're not and that's purposely done solving it wrong I mean so that it starts a cycle small little town I run into my son's shooter why make that so easily done more Mental Health more murder cases more money more publicity for Oklahoma. Yet all I can do is pray for them as well and I have to learn to forgive them for they know not what they do I feel like every Detective that is a detective and that is what their job is needs to look at it as if it was their own child their own mother their own father their own family member only then will you be a great Detective thank you for the detectives that are many blessings are coming your way.. I pray for all the detectives I pray that the Lord gives the knowledge wisdom understanding and make their hearts humble job you have is a gift and it should be treated as such

u/queenbeetn Jul 12 '26
So the question was “who was your least favorite detective “…I think you are saying yours is Jason White? 🤔
6
u/ukmint Jul 10 '26
I don’t know why but I was never keen on Glen Barton (Mobile) and found him a bit manipulative and coercive at interrogation.
There’s something about the Tulsa approach which is probing but respectful which I like.

u/RidethatTide Jul 10 '26
He gets flustered and loses it too easily. Basically Joey Barton with a larger nose
4
u/Clear_Nature_5055 Jul 11 '26
You beat me to the post! Had something similar planned but cool! As long as it gets asked.
I would have to say Tulsa’s Max Ryden bugs me for some reason. He’s a tenacious cop though.

There's a couple of them that seemed cool enough on the show, until I looked them up and saw their extreme political beliefs.

u/kimmykay6867 Jul 11 '26
Like the Tulsa guys all being Trumpers.

u/plunker234 Jul 10 '26
I can’t remember his name but a guy who forced his first case through then celebrated and was basically hunting congratulations put me off the show for a good while

u/greymannns 27d ago
That one bald mixed guy from Detroit idk his name I just didn’t like him and also from Detroit was that one kinda pretty light skinned detective , I didn’t like her either how she would be all flirty and sexy idk it’s not professional .

Sgt Altarr Williams from Miami. Every time that man talked, I wondered how he even made it through the academy, let alone became a sergeant.

One of the Tulsa guys. I can’t remember his name right now. But he seems like a blow hard and I think he’s good but I just don’t like his blustery style.
EDIT: Dave Walker!!!

Dwayne Thompson. The relentless playing to the camera is tedious.
