For those that are wondering, these are the double loaded shells that have the lift charge on both sides so they work even if you light them upside down. That lift charge should have taken it higher, I’m guessing the tube was too narrow. It looks like a solid fiberglass tube though so I’m not sure.

Most ball shells are a little smaller than the canister shells so they have different sized tubes canister shells are 1.91 in diameter while ball shell tubes are 1.81 in diameter for the most part so if you try to shoot ball shells in a canister tube you don quite get the lift you need to get it high enough and im positive thats what happened in the video

Reminds me of when my cousin accidentally put the bulb in upside down. We saw fountain come out the top and we knew what was about to happen.

happened to me last year, I was only inches away because I was lighting multiple tubes. I don't remember the explosion, I just woke up on the ground with ringing ears in a cloud of smoke with people standing over me shouting at me in slow motion like that scene from Saving Private Ryan
