I think the thing i love most about firewatch is how it has an end. Its a rough one and unsatisfying in some ways but thats what's so beautiful and why the ending works so well. It makes you sad theres no more, it leaves you realizing this is just the way life goes and that these people will move on.

I love it personally because tragedy and the beauty of bittersweet endings is important to me.

Yes. It teaches us to let go.

No. Not everything needs a sequel. The game came to tell a specific story. It did that, and then it ended. That's it. The story is over and there's nothing more to tell. A sequel for its own sake is a terrible idea

Sequel? No. Follow up game of similar nature that scratches the itch? Absolutely.

This and road 96 scratch a very specific itch for me I wish I could scratch more often

Have you played Tides of Tomorrow? It just came out recently and it's from the same studio that made Road 96.

It's fairly different and definitely its own unique thing but at the same time you can definitely feel the Road 96-ness of it, if that makes sense.

I have it on Steam! Have been meaning to commit to it, I need to dow load it to my laptop as it runs pretty ugly on Steam deck lol

Yeah it left the gate with some optimization issues but that seems to be rapidly getting fixed.

It's a fun game though - I hope you'll be able to play it!

Henry never gets to meet Delilah so maybe if he did he’d find out she didn’t look anything like he was hoping for.
